Does anyone else wonder if BTD and Moissaniteco pad or filter their reviews? There’s nothing wrong with having great reviews, but usually you have a few bad ones because some people just can’t be satisfied.
When I look on their website the product reviews are almost all 5 stars. Has anyone ever posted a negative review and then they deleted it?

I don’t think they do. I did a lot of Google searching when thinking about getting my ring from MoissyCo, and I don’t think I found even one bad review.

Nope. I’ve read too many amazing reveiws from girls on here who I know are legit owners and lovers of their rings.

Whilst I’ve never posted a review on the BTD site, I have purchased from them (an Avarra sapphire) after seeing numerous great reviews – a number of which came from the Bee – and frankly, I couldn’t be happier with it. We’re actually in the process of getting a ring made with the stone from BTD and the ring setting from moissaniteco and so far, their customer service has been excellent. I can’t wait to see the end result.

I don’t think they do. I’ve seen posts with genuine complaints on the BTD forum, including one of my own that didn’t get deleted. I believe the positive reviews (including another of my own) are genuine as well.

Everyone pads their reviews. Everyone.
And competitors sabotage reviews.
That’s just how businesses behave on the internet.
Read the ones in the 2-4 range and look for an independent review site (as in, not run by the company whose product you’re considering.)

No. I’ve read a few reviews on here that were only mediocre or bad, but I’ve seen literally hundreds of girls rave about their experience with those companies here. I also have a MCO ring. And I pretty much love it!

@hfwildcat: I’m assuming that since the reviews are on their actual site, they only post the good ones! Why would they knowingly post bad reviews about their products? As a PP said, you’d have to search for reviews on an independent site (such as this one, lol) to get the full scope.

No, because reviews on BTD and WB match up perfectly with what’s on the companies’ websites. If there were a discrepancy, sure. But everything checks out.

@asscherlover: This exactly. Too many individuals have said how wonderful they are, therefore I have to believe that these girls, who are active with the boards, aren’t just here to push MoissyCo or BTD.

I had a negative experience with moissaniteco.com for both my e-ring and my wedding band. I never got either ring made, so it didn’t feel right posting anything negative about them. We were just never able to get off the ground. My questions were only partially answered and I never felt comfortable enough to just take a plunge in the hope that it works. A couple of my e-mails didn’t get a response at all. When I followed up with on-line support, they told me that it was probably in a spam filter and I should re-send my e-mail again. I did and got another partial response. The on-line support was very limited in knowledge and would have conflicting info to that of e-mail responses. I found it hard to believe either of them.
Later I saw a thread by a customer of how their ring didn’t turn out the way they hoped. The customer support posted this customer ring’s pictures with supposedly fixed mistakes. I saw too many flaws just in the picture that would bother me in person too, especially uneven prongs. I couldn’t live with that kind of workmanship. Worse they were trying to defend how they “fixed” everything that was asked of them in a rather classless manner. After that I didn’t bother trying to follow up on my e-mails. I just picked another place to order my set from.
I doubt they would pad reviews on purpose, I am sure they do have many happy customers who are not that much into details.

Well that makes me feel better. I think I am getting paranoid the closer we get to purchasing 🙂
It’s great if their reviews are all or mostly all great; just seemed a little too good to be true so I wanted to see what you all thought.

No I don’t think they are paded. My ring came from ashadiamonds.com that owns moissaniteco.com. My center stone was created by btd. Overall I had a great experience and am in love with my ring.

If you read the BTD forums, there are enough negative reviews to play devil’s advocate. Fiance got my ring from moissyco, and so far as I know, it was easy and painless

I think most companies do this regardless of whether or not their product is well recevied.
My Fiance worked in marketing for over 10 years and he said that was one of the most common things among companies, most people have a social media coordinator to do this kinda stuff for them
