MrsxWBee:  I think plenty of people do them around then. I felt like I looked pretty big and pregnant at 30 weeks but my belly looked a lot better and more obvious at 36 weeks, when I had mine done! I was glad I was as far along as I was. If you get them done at 30 weeks you might look back and think you looked small, but if you’re ok with that (and I think some people don’t want to look “huge”) go for it.

MrsxWBee:  I’ve seen that a lot of women get them done at 30 weeks. I think it depends on what you’re wanting out of the pics. If you just want memento pictures from when you were pregnant, then it will be perfect. If you’re wanting to document how big you got, you’ll probably have to push back a few weeks.

MrsxWBee:  same here, I’ll be 30 1/2 weeks for mine….. I’m the type that doesn’t want photographic evidence of how huge I get (been overweight most of my life) lol so it’ll be nice to have a bump and do pretty pictures where I’m obviously pregnant, but I know for myself I won’t wish “man I wish I got some when I was bigger”.

I just did mine at 33 weeks, I think it was perfect timing!  I was comfortable and able to move around for poses, no issues sitting or laying down etc.  I was orignally booked for 31 weeks but the weather didn’t cooperate…I don’t think my belly looked much different between that time frame…and honestly I’m glad I didn’t wait any longer b/c now at 34 weeks I’m more uncomfortable and it’s a little harder to get around, amazing the difference a week can make sometimes, lol.  I think you will be just fine.  Have fun 🙂  Do you have your outfit picked out yet?

That’s when I had my baby.  🙂  I didn’t feel like I even looked pregnant so I wanted to do them later, but that turned out to not be an option.  Go ahead and do them and have a quickie session at 38 weeks if you want photo proof of your huge belly.

If I look at a picture of my belly at 30 weeks versus, say 35, the different was pretty significant! Personally I’d rather capture the later stage belly, but like PP said, if you’re just trying to document this moment and not have bump be front and center, 30 weeks would be fine!

I did mine at 32 weeks and I thought it was great. I had a big belly but I wasnt swollen. At about 36 weeks I started 30putting on water weight and swelling like crazy. Not as cute. My sister is a photographer and she reccommends 30-33 weeks for maternity shoots.

I had mine done at 31 weeks because I had no free weekends after that and I love how my pictures turned out!

We recommend 31-35 weeks so it sounds like you will be pretty close to that 🙂  Good luck!

I think 33-35 w would be great.I was still fairly small at 30 w. I did mine at 38w but wouldn’t recommend that late just in case you give birth early (unlikely but possible). You obviously dont want photos if you’re all swollen and enormous either! Guess it depends in your body type,38w was pretty good for me but would have done 37 just to get it done a bit sooner

I think 30 weeks should be fine — most people have a cute bump by then but don’t feel super uncomfortable. We did ours at 37 weeks, but only because that’s how scheduling worked out, but by then there were definitely angles that were less flattering ;-). I did a shoot recently for a girl who was only 27 weeks and even that early she was really cute and obviously pregnant.

I did mine at 31 weeks. I loved my bump at that time. I’m just now 33 weeks and feeling a lot larger, not sure I would want to get photographed now or much later. It may be the Texas heat, but I started retaining water in my hands/feet/face at 32w5d. Here’s my 31 week photo shoot bump.

My 36 week bump is much bigger than 30… 30 was cute but this is the stage where I feel photos are worth having to remember… Maybe anywhere between 34-37?
