Sometimes I do. I think I know when he’s going to propose but then I remind myself that I may be completely wrong on that. Then when he mentions that we should go somewhere out of the ordinary, my heart jumps a bit.

8/8 is when I think he’ll propose. We supposed to hike a 14er that day and he already picked out the date even though it’s months away. This is pretty unlike him. Now maybe he’s just excited to hike another 14er (we did Longs Peak last year, it was his first time, it was my 6th). But I don’t think so since 8 is his favorite/lucky number and he doesn’t usually plan things that far in advance.

Then he mentions that we should go to the Zoo in June and maybe I should take a day off to go. My first thought was, “maybe I’m completely wrong about August and he’ll do it in June.”

However, I’m trying to enjoy the time I have with him and stifle that voice that keeps making assumptions about when he’ll propose. I’m a very very lucky girl to have such a wonderful man by my side and I need to remember that instead of obsessing about when he’s going to propose. Some days it’s easier than others!

@NVACat:  Absolutely.  Every nice dinner, weekend trip, hike, etc I think “is this it?!”  The only time I relax is if we are going to the grocery store or Target πŸ˜‰

Most of the time I don’t expect it (i.e., if we go to dinner on a Friday, I’m not anticipating it will happen) but that’s because right now I’m thinking it will happen on vacation…plus the fact that he’s had the ring for a month but hasn’t done it makes me think he has a plan. Granted, if it doesn’t happen on vacation, I probably will start thinking that it could happen anytime and start reading into things.

I constantly thought I was going to get proposed to!  As it turns out, he thought about it a couple of times while I was thinking of it too.  It ended up happening at home πŸ™‚  Good luck!

@NVACat:  I’ll still be happy to be engaged, but I’m going to hope it doesn’t happen in the frozen food aisle lol!

I used to wonder if everything was going to be “it”. I always knew in the back of mind that it wasn’t his style though- he’s more of a do-it-at-home and in private person πŸ™‚ its probably going to be us laying around in bed when he proposes lol

Haha!  I was definitely just wondering if I was the only one who did this!

This happens to me ALL the time.  Most disappointing moment by far: we took a trip to the ocean, he kneels down and draws a heart in the sand with our names while holding my hand.  If that wasn’t a perfect proposal moment, I have no idea what is!!  (sad note: that moment happened nearly 6 months ago and I’m still waiting!)

So, I’m graduating college in about…oh god 10 hours.

Anyway, the SO said to me at the store, “I’ve already spent too much money on you this week.” “What? You haven’t bought me anything…” “Oh, it’s your graduation present.” “Oh….how much did it cost?” “A lot.”

My brain was going “OH GOD RING? RING?! ENGAGEMENT?!” Plus, he keeps saying he hopes it gets here because he wants to give it to me at my family/friends graduation party next weekend.

So…..yeah. I assume engagement constantly.

I did the same thing..and it was so hard waiting because I knew he had my ring.  I picked it out and I went to the store to make sure it fit..then I had to wait for him to finally do it.  Haha.  I also had to stop myself from looking around the house wondering where he hid it from me.

Oh do I ever. Jeeze its soo HARD! I’m wondering about tomorrow because we’re celebrating my graduation and I’m just so nervous because he’s all secretative but I KNOW its not anything more than just shopping and some dinner… yet I can’t help but think its something more.

I want to say we’re pathetic but we’re just madly in love.
