So my fiance and I have been taking ballroom dancing lessons and are eager to show our slick moves on the dance floor. However, it dawned on me that my dress, even bustled up, may be difficult to dance in. We aren’t doing anything super fancy, a few twirls… stepping backwards… him stepping around me. Definitely no skipping or hopping. Do you think I can manage to dance in this? I asked the seamstress if she can take up more with the bustle and she said no. What do you girls think?

It looks like you should have plenty of room to dance in that gown. I have seen some gowns that are way more fitted than that and the girls manage to move! I think you will be just fine.

Wow that dress is STUNNING. . .I’m jealous 🙂
I think you’ll be fine. Maybe grab a bridesmaid and try dancing with her in it. I wouldn’t sacrifice the dress (ie, take it off and put on something else) just for a dance. No way, that’s too beautiful). I think you’ll be fine!

First off – amazing dress! I love the lace. I agree with the poster above insomuch that you will just have to practice dancing first. It’s a shame you can’t do it with your future husband, but I think it will work out just fine. Again, beautiful dress.

That’s a PRETTY dress. I really iike it. I think you’ll be fine. Is it bustled in the picture? If so, I would consider taking it to another seamstress to see if they can bustle it more, because it looks like it’s possible. Good choice though!
