I have a question. I’m getting married 7/20/13!!! I have a lot of DIY and wanted to know if I am starting too soon. I am making my will you be my bridesmaide boxes now. I just don’t want people to think I’m crazy. When I am done with the boxes I will start to make my Save the date cards, Card Box then my Cake Stand. There is a lot of work to be done so this is why I have started.
Let me know if you think its too soon.

I think you’re missing a poll option.. where’s the option for “keep going”. I definitely don’t think it’s too early for DIY stuff! (As long as you’re set on what you want, giver all you got!)

Just make sure you love what you’re DIYing and not going to change your mind. =) I don’t think it’s too early though. Better to get it done ahead of time than scramble at the last minute

Its never too early. I had only 6 months to prepare a wedding and to me that was not enough. I was exhausted everyday trying to finish everything on time.

If you have a long list of DIY projects then it is a good idea to start now. I had a huge list and I started last Summer, it has kept me busy the entire time.

You’re less than a year away, so definitely not too eary. Just make sure you know you want to DIY and you won’t change your mind after puttng in all your time!

DIY stuff can take forever and may need to be redone if it turns out you don’t like it or something didn’t turn out as planned. So, I think an early start is great!

I say go for it. You will find that yoru desire will ebb and flow and from watching other people they get stressed out and end up ditching a lot of projects due to time

Thanks everyone. I guess I’m not crazy for starting now…. lol

Definitely not too early!

It is never ever ever ever ever too early.

Nope, not starting too early… as long as you know for a fact that the date isn’t going to change and that you’re set on your colors/theme/vibe for your DIY projects!

It is definitely not too early. Better to get them done now than have to rush to do them closer to the wedding and not have time to correct any mistakes that arise/happen!
