No, I wouldn’t want to be split up and running back and forth on the wedding day. I had so much fun getting ready with the girls and wouldn’t want to miss out on that. I’d ask them to come to the hotel without a travel charge.

I would be upset- but if there is no contract or anything I don’t see how you can do anything about it.

How much would the travel fee be? I can’t imagine they could charge much since it really is just 100 yards away.

Any GOOD business will honor what they told you.  Just be insistent and firm but not a bitch.  Tell them what they can do to make their mistake right.  Most businesses would rather cave than have an angry person start flaming bad reviews everywhere.

I don’t think signing a waiver saying they are not liable for your hair will help anything.  Their insurance doesn’t want to be liable for injuries, etc. caused by the hair stylist being there.  You can’t get override their insurance with a waiver.

I would just separate the girls – my sister’s bridesmaids were seperated and it wasn’t a big deal

Stand your ground and make them honor what they told you previously. Do you have proof of what they said before (emails, contract, voicemails, etc)? If that doesn’t work I’d let them know that they’ll be voiding the travel fee or reimbursing your deposit (if you put one down).

Totally have them come to the hotel!! And ask politely if they will waive the travel fee, since you already had arranged to have your hair stylist come to their space and the change is so last minute. The worst they can do is say no, but plan on having them come to you regardless!

@moderndaisy: I agree.  The original plan – which they agreed to – was to have the hairstylist present so everybody could get ready together.  They are inconveniencing you and waiving the travel fee is the only way for them to make it right.

Man that sucks!! I would not be a happy camper if they did that to me! Definitely don’t split up… Have you talked to the highest person available? My mom would say to write a letter lol. Good luck!

@KatNYC2011: hahahhahaha “the little one stops to tie his shoe, and they all go marching down, to the ground, to get out of the rain…”
