If you have the sash lowered a little it will not make you look pregnant.

I think if you have any amount of belly “pooch” that sticks out farther than the dress, than yes.. it very well could.

But if you are thin waisted with a mostly flat stomach, then I would say you’d be fine.

I would try on dress with a similar silhouette and see how it looks on you.  I found that this style of dress made me look bigger than I am and other styles were more flattering.

Honestly, the model in the 3rd pic looks pregnant, and she’s probably a size 0.

I tried on a ballgown that had a bow on the waist, similar to the sash, and it wasn’t very flattering on me. I thought it added a belly area that I didn’t even have! I would totally reccomend trying on a dress similar, or as close to, as you can because it may not be flattering. I was disappointed that the ballgown didn’t look good on me since I thought I was smallish. I’d hate for you to buy one or create one only to not like it 🙁

The dress I bought is very similar to the ones you showed, but the skirts are a little different. The skirt gathering at the waist everywhere, in the pictures you posted, might be what makes it poof out so much. Below are two examples that show the pleating at the skirt instead, Mori Lee 4969 and Lazaro 12778.

Just something to think about because you’re getting the dress made. The best advice is trying on similar dresses to see what style fits you best. 🙂

I think the problem is the pleats at the front, they add volume. The two peabee posted look much more flattering, with the flat front.
