Yes. Could you possibly find a china based dressmaker to make a similar dress, yes I think you could but I also think that you would end up paying a lot for it ($700-$900 for same quality fabric). I also thinkt he beading would be hard to replicate.

Go for it if you are happy to have a dress that kind of looks like the original. But if you are not going to be happy with anything less than an exact replica then I say you will never get it and buy the original. It is all about expectations with china based dressmakers.

That’s a recent reproduction from Jasmines Bridal. More pictures here: http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/jasmines-bridal-shop-china-dresses-part-xviii/page/13#axzz3BTiWm9ws Quality is high and price will definitely be lower than buying direct from the original designer pluse you can get it in ANY color or color combination. No settling for the five colors the designer decides are right for the design. Look good in neon lime? You can have your dream dress in your dream color. If you’re the type that LOVES a deal, proudly scrounges through sales racks to find that perfect bargain and then when complimented on it will happily espouce their hunting skills – yup go for it.

As you can see the detailing and quality is superb but if you’re the type of person to sweat every bead and feather or have a niggling feeling every second that the dress is just a little bit too OFF and your ok with the five bland color choices the designer has picked out then no a dress from an overseas company is not for you.
