She has some great photos.  Higher end photographers where I am getting married are way more.  I think if you’re getting 10 hours of coverage, that is a bargain.  Do you get a second shooter?

I think it sounds like a pretty fair price. I had my photographer and second shooter for $3000 for 11 hours, but this was after interviewing a LOT of photographers! You’re right in the ballpark!

I am paying a similar price for eight hours without albums.  Honestly, I’d rather just put the album together myself.

Do you need a second shooter?  I am having a large wedding, so my price includes the second shooter.

I’d say that’s about right for 10 hours and I peeked at one of her wedding albums and didn’t see any red flags – meet with her and see if you click!

Call me crazy, but I think that’s a bit pricey. I’m pretty cheap though, and not sure what area you live in, maybe this is the norm! I think if it included prints, that’d be a different story.

The photog I was going to go with was $3500 for unlimited coverage PLUS full CD rights, albums, prints, etc. but I still ended up going with someone less expensive.

One thing that makes me a little nervous is that her most recent album is from September 2010, which is over a year ago. Can you ask to see her more recent work? That way you know that 1) people are still using her (always a good sign) and 2) you can see the type of work she’s done more recently and can check that you still like the quality.
