Hi bees – as I look at the picture of this dress, the train looks weird to me – is it a style I’m just not familiar with? The ladies at the shop said this train would help to create a pretty bustle. Any thoughts on what type of bustle would work? I did lots of google image searches but really didn’t get anywhere.
I don’t have a picture of the back of the dress on me, but here’s one from the web:

I really like the train. Its romantic and classic and I love the flowy feeling.

I think the train is gorgeous! I personally wouldn’t do a bustle with that length of train, but that’s just me!

@Magsalot: Thank you 🙂
@napabridekelsey: Thank you! What do you mean you wouldn’t do a bustle – would you just let it be? What if it gets stepped on?
Sorry if I am dense, I just am a little clueless when it comes to this stuff 🙂

I would guess they would make it into a French Bustle… so below the point where the train starts, there would be a fold/bubble/pouf of dress to shorten it.
There are some brides who don’t bustle at all, I know I’m not comfortable like that and would so I don’t trip, it doesn’t get stepped on, and I’m not worrying about it… but to each their own 🙂
