I know we both plan on it. I couldn’t imagine not having some “just married” sex on our first night being married.

Ha! curious to see these poll results! We were talking about this last week- it’s a definite goal- depends on his alcohol consumption and how much sleep I get the night before.

We managed. πŸ™‚ I had already put down the equivalent of a bottle of champagne and he’d had quite a few beers but oh we managed!

    Of course we’re going to!

That said, our wedding is going to be ending at 9:00pm at the latest, so it’s not like we won’t be getting to bed until five in the morning. Although when we’re on holidays, sometimes we don’t go to bed until after midnight, and we still usually do the old horizontal copulation. : D

We aren’t planning on it, but if it happens, good for us!

I was actually shocked when I talked to some of my married friends about it…most of them did not have sex on their wedding night. Between being tired, drunk, having to get up for an early flight, etc, most saved it for the first night of their honeymoon.

I figure we’ll both be exhausted from the day, plus we’ll have his son with us, so we’re not planning on it, but if it happens, we’ll be in the minority of our friends!

Is this a trick question?  I mean…..of course we will consummate our marriage on our wedding night!  May or may not be the BEST ever but it will be special b/c it’s our wedding night!!

We’re definitely planning for it.  Things are still in flux, but it will likely be a morning/midday wedding with a short reception.  So, we should have plenty of time to recover from wedding festivities (if necessary) and then go at it like a couple of bunnies the rest of the evening…  πŸ˜‰

Because I had heard so many people say “a lot of people don’t…it’s no big deal” AND because our wedding ended at 1am (after we got up at 6am the wedding morning to run a 5k together), I did not expect to. But we managed – it was actually not forced at all and very romantic.

However maybe we were making up for not doing it the night we got engaged! (He proposed at the top of Mt Whitney after a 7 hour hike up – 11 hours back down with nothing to eat due to altitude-induced nausea meant neither of us felt like doing anything but laying down when we got back to the hotel at 1am).
