Just curious– do you throw away any mailings that include photos (photo save the dates, photo thank you cards, photo Christmas cards, baby announcements, etc) or do you keep them? For the longest time I felt bad throwing them away so I kept all of them, only recenly I started to trash them. What do you bees do?

I throw them away (with exception of my nieces) but Darling Husband likes to keep them. We compromise and keep them for a season or two then toss them.

After I’ve read them I usually put them on the fridge. Then after a little while I’ll toss them.

They always end up in the trash at my house. I do make sure that I share it with Fiance so he can see, but a photo thank you gets treated the same as a regular one. I hold onto and display holiday cards for a bit though… But I don’t keep them.

Eventually, yes I throw them away. I’ll keep them on my fridge for a little while, and then it goes into the trash. I just don’t think I’ll regret not having the “Smith’s Family Christmas card 2014” in 40 years.

I throw away generic items, but keep personalized ones–I’ve kept every thank you card I’ve gotten and put them up on my pinboard (I lost one from a student which bums me out–I thought it was super sweet of her to write it!). If its a STD or invite, it gets trashed. Christmas cards I sometimes trash, sometimes keep… that’s more up to chance.

I wait until the date/party/fiesta/etc is over.. then the trash it goes. Unless its my immediate family (brother, mother, nephew, niece) I don’t feel the need to keep it.

I throw them away. I keep them on my fridge until the event passes (in the case of STD’s), or until a few weeks after Christmas if they are Christmas cards.

Have two Christmas/New Years cards and a Save-the-Date from last year on the fridge… I should probably toss them…

They get displayed for awhile, then I toss them. Generally a 1-3 week range. For Christmas cards, we display them through January. Then toss 😉

depends on who it is. close friend/family, once i’m tired of seeing in on my fridge, i’ll put it in a box or album where i stash all my photos or i cut the photo out and frame it. if it’s not someone we’re particularly close to, we toss it.
