Not that I know of. The thought of tipping them didnt cross my mind. I only tipped my hair/makeup artist.

Posting to follow. I have no idea who I’m supposed to tip!

I asked my wedding coordinator this question the other day. She said that no one will expect or ask for a tip, but there are certain people you could choose to tip, including the servers ($20-30 each), photographer ($50-200), DJ ($50-100), musicians ($25-50 each), and transportation providers.

I am definitely tipping hair and makeup stylists but undecided on the rest. I personally think tipping the photographer seems really unnecessary. I’m planning to get our coordinator some kind of thank you gift after the wedding because she’s amazing.

ETA: If you google this you will find a million different answers, so I think it’s all probably regional. This is just what my coordinator said people typically do in her experience.

@mb0384:  I tipped whoever I thought did a great service, EVEN if they owned their own companies! To me it’s all about showing them appreciation. I tipped all the catering staff, the wedding coordinator, the photographer, and florist (I didn’t have any other vendors). However for some of them I sent them gift cards via email the week after.

Typically, people tip catering, hair and makeup, assistants to photographers and DJs, bartenders. http://www.marthastewartweddings.com/226661/tipping-wedding-vendors is not a bad place to start

I tipped the makeup artist $20 I think..

I tipped our venue staff $50

I tipped my photographer $150

I tipped our bartender $20

& I tipped my hairstylist $50 (because she did 2 trials for free)

I didn’t go by “if they own the company, don’t tip.” I went by “If they gave me a good deal & did a great job, go ahead & tip”

Our total cost of the wedding was 6.5k & the day was beautiful, so I don’t think there is a lot of reason not to tip, even if you are on a massive budget.
