I normally always choose the option that is less processed and most natural. With that being said, BUTTER. I read that if you put a tub of margarine outside, not even bugs will touch it. Weird. Who knows if that’s legitimate though.

I hear margarine is worse for your arteries than butter. I don’t know for sure but I LOVE butter so it’s not a problem for me.

I only use butter, I prefer the taste and it seems less suspicious to me. For spreads I buy or make the spreadable butter which has canola oil in it.

I use Earth Balance buttery spread. It’s “butter”, but it’s made from plant fats instead of animal fats.

we use margarine but we’re also not big butter users. I put a bit of I can’t believe it’s not butter spray on my bagels with honey if I don’t feel like PB and banana. And maybe on my SO’s grilled cheese sandwiches, she’ll coat the outside with a little spray.
I know butter’s better though. I just like the convenience of the spray. I’d never heard margarine was supposed to fatten up turkeys though lol Now that it’s on my mind, I’ll probably pick up real butter next time I’m at the grocery store. I just need a butter tray so it’s not in the fridge and hard to spread! That’s actually what keeps me from buying stick butter

@Ninteenthchance: I’ve heard that turkey story as well…yuck! I think margarine tastes like crap anyway so we use butter. At first DH was always buying margarine in the big tubs, but I got him off of that when I moved in.

Butter. I love butter. I love my stuff dripping in butter, lol. I live with my parents, and they buy margarine and butter. We never use the butter because they keep it in the fridge so it’s always hard and not easy to spread, which I guess Is a good thing for someone like me lol we usually only use butter to bake and margarine for everything else. It’s cheaper and easy to spread, but isn’t even on the same level as butter taste wise.
