Ehhh I don’t care that much.  I think I’m going to vote against the proposition.

Darling Husband wants it, just so he can purposefully buy that food.  He thinks genetically altered food is “more perfect” than unaltered food.

Certain GMO foods have been shown to increase the risk of food allergies in kids and cause gastro intestinal disorders. While some GMO foods have given us increased crop yeilds and greater resistance to pests, they should be labeled so that people can choose for themselves if they want to feed these things to their families or themselves.

I would care. The more information they can give me about my food, the better.

Whoops, I voted incorrectly.  I’m strongly against GMOs, so that would make me strongly FOR labeling.

Yes, I would definitely support GMO labels. Right now, we just try to buy organic to make sure we avoid GMOs (among other things).

I’m not in CA but Darling Husband and I only purchase non-GMO foods for our home. Not to say that we never go out to eat, we’re not perfect, but it’s something we are very aware of. I would be 100% pro label if that were up for debate in MN.

@Annabelle86:  I would also be really interested in seeing what you’re referencing. I don’t have food allergies, but I’ve had major GI issues my whole life so I’d be curious to know if my diet growing up could have had something to do with my health issues.

Yes!  I try very hard to buy non-GMO foods when I’m grocery shopping.

I am very strongly FOR the lables, I hope this makes its way over to MI.

This is why Ben and Jerry’s is basically a health food: they use cows that are recombinant bovine growth hormones (rBGH) free, and have been since, like, forever.

I absolutely want to know! Having a child that is extremely sensitive to certain types of food processing, I think it’s important to have this information readily available.

I’m strongly in favor of developing GMOs, so I would like labels because then I can choose them over other options. While modern day GMOs are imperfect, the technology holds immense potential for helping people. I would like to support it.
