Do you wear your ring(s) constantly?
I don’t and I’m just curious if I’m an odd duck. It’s not like I don’t like them, because I absolutely love them. I mostly don’t wear mine because I’m afraid of destroying them. I tend to do a lot of work with my hands like yard work and cleaning. I also have this odd thing where my body swells somewhere between about 2am and 5am, so my rings get tight and I have to take them off. I’ve always been like that, so I just never wear my rings to bed either. And trying to style waist length curly hair with them on is crazy because the rings get caught in my hair.
I wear them on the weekends when we go out, but that’s pretty much about it.
My husband is okay with me not wearing them all of the time (I’ve asked him). He said he rather them not get ruined, so he’d rather me not wear them if there is a chance of that happening.
I just feel strange because I’m not wearing them.
My f-i-l never wears his band unless he’s going somewhere special. But, that’s because he works with heavy machinery that could rip his finger off if his ring got caught.
But, my dad wore his constantly and he also worked on heavy machinery that could take his finger off. He actually saw a guy (fellow worker) get his finger ripped off because he wedding band got caught.
I don’t know. I just feel odd.

I don’t wear my rings at all, ever.

I take mine off and put it in a box at night time, I worry I will pull it off in my sleep. I don’t wear them when showering or preparing food. terrified of damaging my engagement ring as well as I had a bad experience with my original ring.

I mostly wear it, I take it off when I sleep, shower and clean. Or if I’m doing something especially messy with my hands. And sometimes on the days that I don’t get out of my pajamas, I don’t wear it. Probably because putting it on in the morning is part of my getting dressed routine and if I don’t get dressed I don’t think to put it on.
Other than that though I wear it

I mainly wear mine when I’m at work or socialising outside the house. I won’t wear them to dance classes or other similar activities, and if the only place I’m going to is the corner shop, I won’t wear it then either.
Putting on their rings has been a part of my parents’ “getting ready” routine for as long as I can remember, so that’s probably where my own routine came from. One of the first things I tend to do when I get home for the evening is to take off my rings and watch.

Moneyfoot: I usually wear my ring all the time, unless I’m gardening, preparing meat or cleaning / using cleaning products.

Moneyfoot: I take mine off to blow dry my hair because the ring heats up and burns me and for sports that involve hands (ball games, weights etc) because the impact on it is painful but other than that I never take it off. I’d be gutted if it broke in an irreparable way but I like that when I’m old it’ll be scratched and look lived in and be a sign of all the things I’ve done and time that’s passed since he proposed. I’d rather that then look at a shiny ring that lived in a box and wish I’d worn it more.

i only take mine off to dry my hair (they get HOT!) and occasionally when i prepare messy food (meat/dough…anything where it could get caught between the stones and setting)
other than that i wear them all the time. i hate taking them off and get them back on as soon as i can. like the PP i would rather have some wear on my rings and enjoy wearing them everyday than get to a ripe old age and have a pristine ring set that i only wore for special occasions.

I put mine up on in the morning to n my way out the door or if someone is coming over etc. i don’t weR it for sleep, stay at home days, cleaning etc. I worry about losing it or so mething happening plus I feel more comfortable with my jewellery off so when i’m just chilling I dont need it On. Maybe once I get my wedding band i’ll wear that a bit more as its thinner and less bulky so not as likely to get in the way.
I don’t think you’re weird at all!!

The only time I ever wear them is out of the house. As soon as I return I put them back in their box.

Moneyfoot: I don’t wear mine all the time. At work I’m afraid they’ll get lost when I change my gloves (which is like 30 times a day), I work with my hands a lot at home, and I take them off to go to the bathroom (strange habit). I don’t sleep or shower with them on either.

I wear mine all the time! The gym, cleaning, cooking, showering, etc. We insured mine so I don’t worry about them getting damaged or lost. Also we use a local jeweler so I have them rodium dipped and prongs checked every three months. They came with a lifetime warranty so they do all this free of charge and it only takes 24 hours. Guess I’m the odd one out 😉

I pretty much do. I take it off when I mix messy stuff to cook or to put on lotion. But I pretty much wear it all the time other than that. Not for any other reason that I just don’t ever think to take it off. And when I do, I feel naked without my rings.

Moneyfoot: I never leave the house without them, or at least my wedding band. I take them off to shower (DH insists) and usually if I’m doing anything with cleaners or if I’m doing something where my hands will get icky – cooking, body lotion etc. I’d say I wear mine 75% of the time, including to bed, it actually bothers me if I don’t have them on at night.

Hate to admit this, but I have FIVE wedding bands that were blessed in Church, and I never leave the house without wearing one of them.
This is not based on anything but honoring DH and our Vows, because he wears THREE blessed rings, and has never taken them off since the day we were married over 35 years ago.
I take ALL of my jewelry off at night because I’ve always been afraid I’d scratch DH while sleeping.
