Hi, everyone. I have dyed my wedding shoes. They were in white, and now, they are in black. I dyed them, thinking that I want to keep wearing them after the big day. Now I am thinking of wearing them to work (I am a teacher). They have no shiny accessory but a black satin rosette attached to them. I think that no one will know they were my wedding shoes, but I still feel that satin shoes are for a formal look and not for work. What do you ladies think?

Satin shoes are formal. Unless you wear a cocktail dress to work, I think the shoes won’t quite fit.

Nope never have worn satin for anything but a wedding/formal event.

Yeah, I do. I have a couple pairs and wear them with black slacks and pencil skirts.
But I dress UP for work.

I’d wear the hell out of them too.

I dont, only cause I always pick leather over satin when buying shoes for duability. But if I happen to have a black satin pair, I’d probably wear it.

I’m a teacher and I could never wear heels to work! Lol! Standing on your feet all day is tough. I work with some teachers who do wear heels though. I don’t think it’s too formal, but I would go for it on a day where something special is happening and you are dressed a little nicer than usual, for example, if you have to stay after school for Open House.

@4years3months7days: Not at all. They came out very well, and I actually recommend my friends to dye theirs after the wedding. You don’t want the adorables to just sit in the closet ever and forever, do you?

Sure why not? If you dress nicely for work anyway you probably have a ton of beautiful shoes. I have a brown pair I wear sometimes at the office.
