I wear mine all the time! But it is very comfortable. My mom always said, rings are for wearing and if they arnt durable enough to wear they arnt worth having. You don’t spend money on a ring to have it sit somewhere.

My ring is multiple carats. I wear it to the gym lifting weight and really only take it off when I’m doing something messy like mixing food by hand and don’t want the food in my ring. I have insurance if something happens to it but the safest place for it where I can’t lose it is on my hand. I honestly don’t notice it or worry about it at.

My cousin never wears her ring cause it spins and she says it’s uncomfortable. Durability wise there are rings from the 1800’s still being worn. I’ve worn a different gold ring on my other hand everyday for over 15 years and it still is perfect.

I pretty much wear mine all the time except to shower, work out, bedtime (too clunky to sleep in), in the ocean or if I’m mixing raw meat with my hands.

peach11 :  I never take my rings off unless it’s to clean them, but I also wear right hand rings I never take off either, I find that taking rings off and on frequently makes them feel wierd and uncomfortable because your fingers don’t have time to adjust and get used to the rings. All my rings are very low set or plain bands and 10k and 14k gold. My father was a jeweler and he told me that anything your ring would react to you shouldn’t be putting your hands in without gloves anyway (like cleaning products or whatever)

I take mine off to sleep, shower, swim, work out, and lab days where I have to wear gloves at work.

peach11 :  hahaha my first post here was the same question 😂

To answer – yes, I do wear it all the time. I have to take it off for soccer but otherwise, it’s on. Even when I am hiking, camping, gardening…

If it’s a diamond, you’re not gonna damage it. As long as it fits properly and isn’t liable to slip off your finger, you’re fine!

But yeah it definitely takes some getting used to and felt suuuuuuper weird the first few months.

I wear my full set  all of the time unless I’m at the hospital, cooking, gardening, sleeping, showering, or working out.

I also take off my rings if I’m changing my toddlers poopy diaper and have to apply butt paste. I’m left handed and its messy!

I only take my rings off to sleep and shower. I also will wear a silicone band if I’m swimming or in the ocean. I also wear my set when I travel but if I’m traveling I don’t want to lose them so I’ll wear them for an entire vacation (showering and sleeping).

I am in the habit of taking off all my jewelry when I get home, rings included. But I am also in the habit of putting them on before I leave the house. I just find that at home, I am likely to be doing dishes or cooking or doing laundry or gardening or cleaning, and I don’t need to wear a ring for any of that. It is unlikely it would damage the ring, but it certainly might leave it in need of a cleaning. And my stone sits fairly high, so there’s some torque when it gets caught on something, which can hurt my finger or loosen the stone if it is hard enough. It’s just overall safer, IMO, not to wear it at home.

However, when we go on vacation I never take it off. Routines are different in hotels, and I would never want to leave it on a countertop in a hotel room. Likewise, I never take it off after I leave the house, either, because it could easily be forgotten on a sink if I took it off to wash my hands or something. So, ALWAYS off at home; ALWAYS on when not at home.

I’m one of those freaks who never takes her ring off unless I absolutely have to (like maybe if I’m shoving pills down a goat’s throat or my hand up a cow’s….okay, you get it), but it’s super low-profile, super secure (bezel) and the stone is 200 years old and hasn’t cracked yet. I know you’re not *supposed* to wear it while you garden, shower or clean, but I wear gloves when I’m gardening, I have a guard on my shower drain and I don’t use bleach or other harsh chemicals regularly when I clean, so I’ve mostly ignored those rules. She gets a good bath every day when I sterilize milking equipment 🙂 .

I wear my rings all the time, except when I’m weightlifting. I shower, sleep, cook and clean in my rings.

It should not need to be said but any chemicals that are harsh enough to damage your ring are harsh enough that they shouldn’t be on your skin. You should be wearing gloves when you are cleaning whether or not you are wearing your ring(s).

I wear my set (solitaire + eternity band) 24/7 and only take them off every 14 days when I do my mani. That’s when they get a special cleaning treatment. I literally do everything with my rings on including beach, pool, boating, snowboarding, gym, club, pub…

I love my rings and what they represent and it makes me happy seeing and feeling them on my hand. Always.

No. I don’t wear it sleeping, bathing, cleaning, working out, or at work. I’m a nurse and the amount of times I put on and take off gloves I am bound to lose it.
