I wear mine 24/7 for all my day-to-day life (and I sleep in it).

However, I do take it off to shower, cook and clean; and for any workouts that I’ll be using weights (I leave it on for core classes).

I wear my ring basicaly all the time – showering, swimming, sleeping, and in gloves.  The only time I take it off is when I go to the gym.  Lifting weights, swinging kettlebells and doing pull ups while wearing rings hurts my hands and also scratches the bands.  I’ve thought about just wearing athlete’s tape over them while at the gym though to avoid taking them off there as well.

I think the more you take off your rings the more likely you are to lose them.  And if your ring comes off when you’re washing your hand or in the shower then you’re wearing the wrong size ring.  What’s the point of speding so much money on an engagment or wedding ring if it sits in a dish most of the time?

If you’re careful about your design and materials you can find something that’s really durable and will last you a lifetime.  Getting your rings checked somewhat often will also ensure you don’t lose a stone.  I’ve followed that advice and been lucky enough to never have an issue.

I take my e ring and wedding band off to sleep, clean, shower and cook. It will also be coming off whenever I use our boat now after I damaged the setting and lost some side stones plugging in the shore power cord.

As soon as I’m home, all my jewelry comes off, with the exception of my rose gold wedding band.  I don’t sleep, shower, or workout with them.

I take my ring off to shower each time. I only take it off to clean sometimes.. it really depress what I’m cleaning. If I’m doing a deep cleaning I take it off, but if I’m just dusting, vacuuming, and wiping the counters I usually leave it on!
Other than that I always wear it!  🙂 Beautiful ring btw!!

Jolongmire :  I feel you! When I’m walking around I swivel my ring around so it faces the inside. But otherwise I don’t take it off until I’m about to hop in bed.

I pretty much wear my rings all the time. Exceptions include cooking and showering. I put my rings on as soon I wash and apply cream to my face in the morning and they pretty much stay on until I go to sleep and take them off

I have a low-set bezel solitaire and take it off maybe once a month to clean the whole thing.

Almost never because I don’t want to scratch the baby.  I wear a bezel diamond band now.  Pre-baby I wore my set during the day unless I was doing something that could damage them.

I have Waterford crystal ring dishes that I bought for $13 apiece on eBay, and I’ve put them in each bathroom and next to the kitchen sink. I put my ring in one whenever I wash my hands, clean, do dishes, shower, or get ready for bed at night. That way, I know where it is, that it’s secure, and that I’m not ruining it with chemicals. I wear it whenever I go out, and I wash my hands at work with it on. If I have to take it off in public (manicures, when I’m working with my hands– a good example was carving pumpkins with friends this year), I string it into my pearl necklace and wear it there, since the necklace is almost as important to me as the ring and has a very secure clasp.

I wear it 24/7 unless I’m cleaning or working out. I put it in the ring box so I don’t lose it when I take it off

I wear them all the time. It doesn’t matter what I’m doing when they’re on my finger. I do everything!

I am terrified of losing my ring.  I have had it for a year and in the last month or so I have been taking it off along with my RHR when I get home.  I put it on my bathroom counter in a ring dish.  I have never been the type to take off my jewelry but I found that I was taking my ring off in the kitchen when doing dishes, I was taking it off when showering or applying more lotion, etc.  I just got worried that I would take it off somewhere in the house and forget or it would fall somewhere.  I find that it stays clean longer now that I don’t wear it at home or sleep with it on.  I don’t take it off at all when staying at hotels, etc.
