I wore my real rings on the honeymoon — in the pool and in the Caribbean sea.  That was something to which I was really looking forward: being able to enjoy looking at my rings as a newly married woman. ๐Ÿ™‚

I wore my real wedding band on my honeymoon (riviera maya) but kept the engagement ring at home (just to be safe)… we went on a cruise with friends 7 months after honeymoon and I wore both rings on that trip. I also wore both on our 1 year anniv trip in Mexico too.

We went to Turkey on our honeymoon, and I was worried about wearing my e-ring there. So I left it at home, and just wore my wedding band on the honeymoon. That way, I didn’t have to worry about the e-ring getting dirty or scuffed, losing it, or it getting stolen!

I wore mine. No way I would have left them behind! I loved admiring my completed set while we in Punta Cana. ๐Ÿ™‚

I left my ering at home for our honeymoon in Bora Bora. We spent the majority of our time doing water activities so I didn’t want to worry about it.

I wore my ring on my honeymoon and kept it on the whole time.  It went to the beach, it went snorkelling, it’s been scuba diving, glacier hiking, and to the pool.  I trust it more on my finger on the beach than out of my sight in the hotel.

I’m not married yet, but we went to Hawaii shortly after we got engaged and I wore my e-ring the whole time.  I used one of those plastic “ring snuggies” from Claire’s to make it super snug on my finger so I didn’t have to worry about losing it in the ocean.

I wish I was wearing my rings on my honeymoon (very late honeymoon) but they are to big at the moment, and as I am still loosing weight I havent gotten them sized yet! I will be wearing a stand in set, that actually looks nothing like my actual wedding set but is very pretty and leaving my wedding set with my mother in law! I think if your rings dont go slidding off your fingers when wet you should be good to go like so many other bee’s have said! ๐Ÿ™‚

I wore mine constantly. I felt more comfortable having it on where I could see it, vs leaving it somewhere where I couldn’t!

@LittleRiver:  ohhhhh good idea!!!!!!  I was worried about wearing it in the water, we will be doing a lot of water things so i was planning on leaving it at home and so sad about it ๐Ÿ™  But that idea may be perfect!!!  I want to wear both my bands on our honeymoon!!!1

For our Destination Wedding I’m using stand-ins. To me it just isn’t worth the risk of bringing it with.

I think where you’re going and what you’ll be doing are good determining factors.  There aren’t many places I’d travel to with an ering.  A road trip around the US or Canada?  Sure.  A trip to a poor country or country that can be prone to crime?  No.  A trip involving lots of outdoorsy stuff?  No.  Anything involving seawater or the pool?  Absolutely not.  I’m planning on getting a plain band, and that I plan on wearing pretty much everywhere except rough outdoorsy and water things.

@DeathByDesign:  I’m going to Punta Cana too and am unsure if I should wear mine. Where did you stay and did you do any activities outside of the hotel? I don’t want to feel unsafe while wearing it

I’ll be wearing my band but not my engagement ring during our honeymoon.  We’re going to three countries with overnight stays in completely foreign airports, plus road cycling through countryside and swimming in oceans and I just don’t want to deal with having this ring with me.
