I have been engaged for about 6 months now. I never wear my ring to the gym but i’m not really sure why. I guess i was afraid i would hit it against something or perhaps sweat might make it slip off. Its not that big on my finger to easily slip off however it does slide from side to side a bit. Well i was looking around the gym this morning and noticed that almost every person there was wearing rings. Thoughts on this? Am i just being paranoid? What do you guys do?
I will add that I have a solitaire that sits kind of high up.

I wear my ring unless I’m doing yoga

I only wear my ring if I’m running or doing things with my legs. If it is a pump iron with free weights day (which is most of the time) I take it off and store it because I am afraid to scratch it on the barbells.

I prefer to take mine off but sometimes I do forget to take it off before I leave for gym. I do lift weights though, so I’m really scared that I’ll scratch the band on my ering.
I’ve already decided that once we get married I’ll get a plain band to wear to the gym.

Nope! The one time I was too lazy to take it off before I started my run, I smacked my hand into the treadmill while trying to change a song on my iPod and a diamond popped out of it!

I wear mine but my fingers swell while I’m working out and it’s kind of uncomfortable. My finger just feels weird without it so I only take it off to shower and sleep. Maybe once I have my wedding band I’ll only wear that?

I don’t have an ering or wedding ring, but I don’t wear any of my jewellery to the gym.

I’ve actually bent my ring a little by lifting weights with it on. Its something that getting it resized will fix, so its not too bad, but I now take it off when I lift or do pushups or anything that can bend the ring.

I wear mine unless I’m doing free weights, swimming, or on a road bike outside without gloves.

I don’t b/c I work out at a boxing gym and hit bags and work on mitts so it’s not an option for me to work out with my ring on.

I do not- it’s just not comfortable for me. Like a pp mentioned, my fingers sometimes swell too and that just makes it even worse.

I picked other. I do wear it to the gym. I keep it on if I am doing cardio or ab work but if I’m lifting weights, I will take it off and leave it locked up with my other stuff because I don’t wear gloves and the metal on metal WOULD scratch/weaken the back of it.
