I never take mine off. Diamond rings arent supposed to be fragile. They’re made to last a lifetime (if they’re good quality) so I dont know why people are afraid to wear them doing dishes or whatever. Your FI’s arent offended that some of you hardly wear your ring? In my opinion its disrespectful to NOT wear it. My husband gets upset when I take my rings off to clean them. Also an easy way to clean your ring is with a baby toothbrush & diluted windex in hot water. Simple. My ring sparkles like theres no tomorrow & I’ve only taken it off a handful of times in the 2 years I’ve had it. Just make sure to get your prongs checked every 6 months or so & you’ll be fine.

I take mine off with harsh chemicals (because those can wear down the metal on rings), when I’m working out (because the gold gets scratched on the metal), and at night (because I do get scratched in the face otherwise).

I take my ring off to shower, sleep, work out, cook, etc! I’m afraid of damaging it otherwise! Plus I often sleep with my hands under my face so I can’t sleep with it on or I’d get an imprint in my cheeks! And I hate getting water under my ring so I always take it off if I’ve got my hands in water!

The only time I take it off is when I’m washing my hands or putting on lotion, so as to avoid getting crap in it!

I take mine off when I shower because it snags on my hair. When I was first engaged, I took it off to go to bed because I was afraid it would snag on my sheets, but I’ve been sleeping with it on for the last couple of months and it’s been totally fine. I think I was more worried about damaging it than I should have been.

I have a ringholder, but I only take my ring off when I’m kneading dough. Other than that it stays on!

Yeah, but I think I want to buy a ring holder so that I can take it off when I go to bed.

Yep but like many bees, it comes off when I clean, shower, etc.

I only take my rings off if I doing something messy like kneading bread.. I make a point to clean under my rings to make sure there is less bacteria around when I’m cooking. I really do feel naked without them!

I don’t take it off but I’m obsessed about cleaning it. I just bought a jewelers loupe to examine bands before I get one and I’m super into looking at all the dust and mini cat hairs stuck to my ering.

I take mine off for team sports, once in a while for the gym, when I’m cleaning and doing messy cooking (think spag sauce), and sometimes when I’m sleeping. Sometimes I just find the ring agitates me a bit, having the constant rubbing, so I take it off. But I wear it in public 99% of the time.

I was googling this same topic and had to post. I was sleeping with my ring and wear it all the time but I had to stop receiving tly because my fingers sweet to much. Which they go down after a while but it freaks me out when I can’t get my ring off. Even though I know the swelling will go down I just get that phobia feeling. Plus I really hate the ring marks it leaves at night. It’s like when you fall asleep with a hair tie around your worst and it leaves that mark. The first thing you want to do in the morning is take that hair tie off your worst and rub those marks off. That’s how I feel when I wake up with my rings on. “I just want some space”, says my ring finger. So yeah, no more sleeping in my rings. But with that being said I will have several ring holders and necklace around the house because I couldn’t imagine waking up and not being able to find my ring.
