It depends what I’m doing at the gym that day- if it’s just to do Zumba class, I wear my rings. But anything involving weights, I keep it safe in my locker!!

Depends. If I’m just running or doing yoga, I do. If I’m lifting weights, I leave them at home cause they get in the way. I pretty much only take them off for lifting and mountain biking.

@blushpinkbride:  Yikes… No way, but I also lift weights. My ring has a super thin shank, and very thin prongs hold my solitaire in. So, I also doubt it’s the most heavy duty ring out there, and I avoid wearing it when doing any sort of manual labor.

Like others have said it depends. If I’m running or doing yoga I wear them but if I’m going to be lifting weights or using machines I generally don’t wear them because I wear workout gloves

I do CrossFit. I have literally never seen anyone male or female wear rings at my gym. But, when I used to take barre classes, I always wore my ring.

I wear my solitaire wedding ring (I didn’t have an engagement ring). It’s never gotten in the way or damaged. I’ve still gotten hit on a few times at the gym, so it’s clearly not THAT much of a deterrent.

I leave mine on for everything except for if I’m doing something with a lot of friction between the ring and metal (only thing i can think of that I take it off for is kettle bell swings)…like Im fine with bench press and similar stuff, because it’s not constant rubbing/friction

I do, for a couple reasons. One, 99% of the time I’m heading straight to the gym from work. I’m not going to not wear my rings to work, and I don’t trust any method of keeping them safe in the gym other than being on my hand. Two, I mostly just use the gym as a way to run when the weather is shitty. I don’t lift weights. If I did, I’m sure I’d be rethinking my ring-wearing stance.

I work out at home now, but I used to wear it to the gym back when I was first engaged but realized quickly that it was a bad idea – at least for me.  My hands swell pretty badly when I get warm – not so good with a ring on.  Also, I don’t want to scratch it or wear it down on the weights etc.  When I work out at home it goes in its box.

I NEVER take my ring (getting married in May) off unless I’m taking a shower.

I wear them for everything – which is bad cos weights wear thm out so I really need to start taking them off!! But I can never remember to, whoops

I either wear my super cheap ($1) silver wedding band I got off of Amazon or nothing at all. Just depends on the day.

When I went to the gym I always wore my e-ring because I went right after work. I preferred to keep it on vs. leaving it in the car or in a locker.
