My birthday was yesterday, but I don’t work (I go to school), so no, I didn’t work yesterday. πŸ™‚

Not when it falls on a weekend πŸ˜›

Fun little tidbit — every few years, my birthday falls on Father’s Day. Growing up, those happy coincidences were quite fun πŸ˜€

I’m July 2.  It all depends whether I get incorporated into the holiday weekend or not.  Usually I am working.

I’ve been lucky through college because my job was an on campus job – so when the university was closed so was my work. My birthday always fell with just a few days left on winter break, so I didn’t have to work πŸ™‚

Usually. I’ve never once heard of anyone taking the day off for that occasion, unless they happen to be born on a federal holiday when their place of work would be closed regardless.

I did once, when I was in college working a summer job. I made 20 that year.

We were just chatting about this at work the other day! I don’t mind working on my birthday provided I get to celebrate at somepoint that week.

Yep. I don’t care as long as I get a nice dinner out that weekend or something =]

Last year was the first year that I didn’t take off because it fell on a Wednesday. The last 3 years I would usually make a long weekend out of it.

I do too in general. My Fiance wouldn’t take off for it obviously so if I took off I’d just be sitting home alone? Thats no fun. πŸ™‚ The only exception is that sometimes if my birthday falls on a Monday or a Friday then we will take off for a 3-day weekend type trip. Also, last year I planned a vacation to coincide with my birthday so I actually rang in the occasion in Mexico. Come to think of it… that was awesome. I highly recommend planning a vacation for every bday πŸ™‚
