i work full time, and i also have a weekend job to help pay for the wedding.

personally, i think i’d go nuts staying home all day.  that being said, i wouldn’t mind a mini vaca right about now!

That’s weird…….kinda stupid (sorry) Why stay home if you don’t have kids, so you can work out your bum bums and watch The World Turning (or whatever that show is)?? I’d be fu**ing bored out of my mind!!!!

I do however plan on staying home once we start a family.

I work part-time, but not by choice.  I am actually waiting to hear if I will be getting a full-time position at my work.  Just have to wait for this week to pass first.  Wish me luck!  Once I get full-time, I can go back to school and have my job pay for tuition.

Right now I’m just at home.  My husband just got a new job that moves him around a lot and right now we’re only guaranteed to be here until the end of December.  When we move into a house, I’ll organize all of that stuff.  I’m also hoping to volunteer but a lot of people require six month commitments which I can’t give right now.

If he has a longer stay somewhere, I plan to go back to school.  We’re lucky that his job now makes it so I don’t have to work so I’ll be able to get school done when we’re somewhere for at least a couple years.  If we were somewhere stable and I didn’t have school I wanted to finish, I would work though.

I’m 26 and am a stay at home mother. At the moment. The olny reason I stay at home is that I lost my job a last month. So I decided to go back to school and I’m probably going to do that next semester. Gives me more then enough time to get the information I need.

@Mrs. Meowerson: Thank you, dear!  Good luck to you as well.  I know how tough and discouraging it can be at times.

@brideatbeach:Yea that one!!!!!!! Lol, I think that’s right. Are women maybe resorting back to the 50’s??? I’m all for staying at home, IF you’re working all day, ie: working from home, cleaning, laundry, running after kids, babysitting, not sitting on yo butt! Hahahaha.

Well, I’m a stay-at-home wife, but I will be having a baby next month so that should make me a stay-at-home mom. I am also taking onlines classes “full-time.” I wasn’t really sure which I qualified under… The classes are just a fail-safe in case something happens to my husband and I need a job.

ETA: I do a lot of butt-sitting, but my house is clean (see above: no kids yet! :)). If I have a load of laundry ready, I do it, and I keep the floors swept and vacuumed, but I see no reason to do it everyday. I also used to mow, but my husband’s co-workers told him I’d go into premature labor, so I’ve been banned for the rest of the summer.

Also, even with a college degree, there are literally no jobs within an hour of where I live unless I want to settle for clerk at ALCO. I don’t have time to do a teaching or nursing degree, plus I just don’t want to be those things full time.

I worked full time until my daughter was 18 mo old. Now I am a stay at home mommy. Darling Husband makes enough to support us and we don’t want our daughter back in daycare. I do watch a friend’s toddler full time for extra money so I guess that’s kinda like work but I still consider myself a Stay-At-Home Mom. I plan on working part-time once my daughter enters pre school unless we decide to have another.
