I used to do all mornings but recently I changed to evenings. I work out alot of stress and it takes me down a notch and I can fully relax and sleep better. Just wondering if anyone else does that too 🙂
Doing Power 90 and another add on dvd then a 2 mile interval run / walk

afternoon or evening, sometimes at night. Hardly ever in the morning.

If I don’t work out in the morning- I don’t work out. I have the most energy then, and it makes me feel so good for the rest of the day.
After a day of work I absolutely cannot bring myself to exercise. I just need to decompress at that point. I could go for a walk or something, but nothing high cardio.

I HAVE to work out in the morning or it doesn’t happen! I try to also work out in the evening though. If I don’t workout in the morning I wont work out at all but if I work out in the morning I will sometimes also work out in the evening. So it only makes sense for me to work out in the morning 🙂 lol

I generally work out right after work. Some days at work I get sent out to do some field work and that is generally some serious physical labour and I never know beforehand if I will be doing it, so I wouldn’t want to have already tired myself out before I even starting my hard day at work.

I go straight to the gym after work. I’m not a morning person at all and I’m pretty sure I wouldnt get up in the mornings to go. Once my fiance gets back to the states I’m going to try the morning thing tho. Right now I’m not getting home until about 8pm and I’d rather spend that extra time with him.

I work a rotating schedule at work so I have to flexible…when I was younger I worked out from 10pm-midnight…now I cannot imagine doing that! I try to fit it in whenever I can. I need to pry myself off the Bee right now and GO!

I used to work out in the morning before work, but when we moved out to California I started playing ultimate frisbee in the evenings a couple times a week. Once that became part of my schedule, I had to flip my other workouts to after work. Otherwise I’d be running less than 12 hours after playing ultimate and that’s just not enough recovery time for my legs. Plus there are days now when I have to be somewhere 50 miles away by 7:30 in the morning so it’s not really feasible or safe (waking up my husband at 4 am = probably not safe :P) to try to work out before that.
I’ve found that morning workouts are better for my energy level and keeping my mood more even throughout the day, but afternoon/evening workouts are better for performance (ESPECIALLY for lifting but also for speed) and for working off stress.

I would prefer to work out in the mornings. It usually gets me all energized for the day and then I don’t have to worry about it later. But I changed jobs this past year and I work at 6:30am now…so working ou in the morning is out of the question. I wake up at 5am as it is =(. So I work out after work now since I get off work early.

Working out makes me sleepy so the morning are out. I prefer to work out hard after work and in the afternoons on my days off. I can’t work out too late at night or I have a hard time unwinding and falling asleep.

I work out when I get home from work, around 5:30pm on weekdays. On the weekends I do it almost as soon as I wake up. I prefer mornings but mine would be way too hectic for me if I tried to jam workouts in there!

I usually work out after I get home, before dinner. I’d love to get it in in the mornings but the reality is that I just won’t get up. I already have to get up early just to get ready for work and I can’t bring myself to get up earlier. I also really like working out before dinner because usually I’m not as hungry after a workout.

I get off work at 3pm and work out right after. So I can then come home shower and make dinner. I am not as hungry after my work out, therefore I eat less. I also get REALLY good sleep after working out.

@Evie19: I am exactly the same!! I used to work out in the evenings straight after work, but I hated getting home so late and would always find excuses to not go. So I started going in the mornings just to see how it went. Now, if I don’t get my workout in first thing in the morning, I won’t do it. Plus working out in the AM gives me tons of energy for the rest of the day. I love it!

I run in the mornings and on weekends often have a volleyball tournament that starts early. I play volleyball in the evenings about four nights a week plus all day Sunday.
