I currently do not. I was wondering if I am being overly cautious or if others dont wear it either. I take it off when I shower and before I go to bed as well. I have to get my ring adjusted again… its still slightly loose so maybe once it fits a little tighter i will feel more comfortabel wearing it all the time.

kenz29: I dont wear my ring at home or to the gym. Lifting weights with my ring just seems like a diaster waiting to happen.

Nope…never. It would be way too tight because my fingers puff when I work out. Plus, I hate getting sweat all in it lol. I also take it off when I shower, clean and sleep at night (my Mother-In-Law used to work in jewelry and said that sleeping with it on can wear down the prongs over time). I like to keep my ring nice. 😀

I went through a phase in which I didn’t do anything (shower, work, dishes, exercise) ect. with my engagement ring, but it got to be such a pain taking it on/off so now i wear it for everything. That’s what insurance is for, lol. I even wear it while playing sports. I’ll acrtually wait until I get a caution from the ref! I just want to *really* enjoy it, :).

Is it diamond with a gold setting? If so, then it’a unlikely to get damaged. Both materials are durable enough to withstand showers, soap, cleaning, and sweat. In fact, diamonds do not even fog up. The “fog test” is something curators use to test the authenticity of diamonds. I do literally everything in my ring, and it’s still as brilliant as the day he proposed.
If the ring is loose, I would recommend perhaps wrapping the bad in something to give it a more snug fit until you get it resized.
I’ve noticed that people who lose their rings, tend to do so when it’s taken off their finger.

I’m at a point where I never take mine off. I have insurance so if something happens, it’s covered. It’s pretty durable so I’m not worried

I was always told the 4 S’s of jewelry… Don’t shower, sweat, sleep, or swim with it on!

I never take my rings off – I wear them for everything except when I’m cleaning them or if I’m handling raw meat. The setting of my ering was my grandmother’s and she never took it off – it was still perfect when I got it – so I’m not worried. I’ve also found that the people I’ve known who have lost their rings are also the people who took their rings off for all kinds of things.
Edit to add: I also take them off if I am going to swim in the ocean – I don’t worry in the pool.

Yes, I workout with it on. If I’m doing sit ups I swing the stones around.

I keep all of my jewelry on 24/7 unless I’m working with chemicals like bleach. The fastest way to loose a ring is to continuously take it off.

I keep it on for cardio like going for a run but take it off if I’m lifting since it digs into my hands.

I wear mine during exercise, but I don’t do any weight lifting – for that I think it would be safer to remove your ring.

If I’m doing cardio I’ll wear mine, but if I’m lifting weights or boxing I take it off. I also take it off when I sleep and try to remember to take it off when I shower too
