My family would drive you nuts!  We’re all pretty lax about answering and returning calls and texts.  Even e-mails, for that matter.  We’ll get around to it, but often it’s not for a couple hours or even until the next day.

My fiance is a worrier, though, so I try to respond to him ASAP.

@worldtraveler:  I am guilty.. I have gotten a lot better, if my husband doesn’t answer for call back right away I don’t immediately think he died anymore ha. Yeah I sound crazy! I am a natural worrier.. combine that with being a nurse who daily sees people lives turned upside town in an instant and my history of actually getting horrible phone calls that something bad did happen makes for a bad recipe of worry. But I have relaxed a lot but my heart still does stop when I get a call from a family member at an odd time.

I’m usually not bothered unless it’s super unusual behaviour. But that’s because I often leave my phone in my bag/on silent and frequently miss calls.

I text Fiance the other day in the afternoon and got no response. Didn’t think anything of it. Until I arrived home and he wasn’t there (he usually gets home 30 mins before me) and when I called him he didn’t answer.

I was worried for all of 5 minutes, until he opened the front door, on the phone (hence why he didn’t pick up). He’s been to the shops to pick up some stuff (which was why he was late) and was super busy at work that day to reply.

Simple! 🙂

That’s the only time I have ever been worried, though.

I dont get upset but my Fiance loses his mind and automatically thinks something is wrong. I am in the hospital and will send message after message until he can get in touch with me.

If my daughters cant get in touch with me they will call the entire family and friends to ask if they have talked to me.

I’m the exact same way! I dont worry if its my dad, brother, best friend, ect. But if I cant get a hold of Fiance or my mom by the third time, I get super worried. And if it keeps going, then I usually get over the worried and just get mad.

My Fiance is an electrian, so I’d hate to distract him at work. I know he will reply when he gets a chance, so this never bothers me. I expect an hour delay in replying throughout the day. Any other time (meaning when he’s not at work), he answers right away.

In high school when I couldn’t get a hold of my ex-FI, I would get SO mad and call 100 times…Like that would work, lol. If he doesn’t answer the first time, why would he answer the 100th time? 😛 Maybe I was a bit of a stalker…But hey, I was 14!
