Mine definitely do not match. I had hoped for strapless Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses, but all of my girls requested a halter top neckline, and this is what we came up with! The Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses are much nicer fitting than they look in this photo (it makes them look like spandex!!)

When I had my original dress we found the perfect bridesmaid dress to coordinate. And then I changed dresses and we had to find a different dress to match. 🙂
Eventually I like what we came up with. My sister’s dress echos the style of mine without being too matchy.
Hahaha, and here is my funny DB pic. [attachment=834160,104696]

Mine match a skosh; all are satin with semi sweetheart necklines and the girls have just a little bit of ruching in the bodice to mimick mine, which has quite a bit of the pleating…

I’m with Tulip here… the dresses might or might not match but they should sort-of match in that they should look like they belong to the same wedding.
As a matter of fact, historically the bridesmaid dresses have always been very similar to the bride’s… because of the role of the BMs (they were supposed to be similar to the bride in dress and body size so that the “evil spirits” would get confused and possess them rather than the bride!!!).

Well I feel a little better after reading through this post. My dress and my bridesmaids do not match at all but rather, they will be dressing in the style that I almost went with…a mermaid. And my dress is a big ballgown.
Here they are. Also, there are only 2 of them and they each independently picked the same dress that they both loved! SO it seemed like it was meant to be.

I don’t think mine matched my dress? Not really sure lol But they definitely went with the vibe of the whole evening. Here is me in my dress:

I haven’t begun the process of trying any dresses on, but have an idea of what style/material I may like more – which is lace and a v-neck. I think for bridesmaid dresses, something more flowy like chiffon would look better with that compared to satin. I though having me in a v-neck, as well as them, may look funny… but seeing actual pictures of what others ahve done makes me think that it could be done. However, I’m sure my 2 maids would go strpaless – as that is more their style. But, that will be up to them!
