My dog does not, the cats do if they choose. I have dog allergies, and the doctor said it would be best if he wasn’t in my bed. I gate him at night and when we’re out. The cats generally sleep a few hours in the bed with us, and then usually migrate elsewhere. We have three cats and a dog, so if they all slept in the bed all night through there wouldn’t be much room for me and FH.

we had to institute a bed time and separate room for our cat. It was getting out of control with him waking us up in the middle of the night. Now we put him to bed in our guest bedroom – he’s got his food, water & litterbox in there. We sleep soooo much better and he’s gotten used to the routine too! He runs to his room when we tell him ‘its bed time!’. really.

We have four fur babies 3 cats & 1 dog… We just got our dog a lil over a week ago and she has been sleeping with us every night and even when I nap! lol Our cats usually sleep with us but since we got her not as much. Sometimes they sleep on the couch and sometimes in the floor. But once they get use to her I’m sure all 4 will pile up with us! LOL and Why? Because I love our lil sleep buddies. They dont hog the bed either, they move or I move them if need be to get comfy. Hubby doesn’t mind either.

Our 2 cats are our babies so they sleep wherever they want! Usually Lola sleeps between us and George sleeps at my feet or side.
This is right after we moved in to our house and the first night we got the cats, they own the place (house was a mess and we have redecorated since, embarassed by how it looked!)George is on me and Lola is next to me. love them

wow, our dog would never be allowed on the bed. like, never ever ever.
he sheds a lot, and i can’t imagine dog hair on our expensive bedding.
he has his own bed and he loves it.
we sometimes put his bed in our room, but he does fine with it in the living room.

Our dog sleeps with us. Sometimes he gets the boot to sleep on the floor, but he ALWAYS finds his way back into bed between DH and I. Needless to say, we are really eager to get a king sized bed so that our 50lb+ “fur baby” can’t hog the covers as much. Haha I am laughing at myself for this post…

One of our cats sleeps on the bed with us. She starts off on one of our chests and then ends up on my pillow. The other cat sleeps on the floor next to the bed. She used to sleep on the bed whenever she felt like it but she hasn’t been on the bed since we had to put our other cat down.

Yes! Our dog sleeps at my feet-usually diagonally so I can’t even stretch out. If I take a nap, he sleeps beside me. The cat sleeps either on my back or under the covers at the foot of the bed. Needless to say, Fiance gets much more sleep than I do.

Yes for the cat and no for the dog!

My cats sleep with us but my dog doesn’t. The reasons are that a) the cats were there first, and do not want to share and b) the cats smell better. 🙂

Yes, but just recently. He was not sleeping, and pacing all night for like a month. I was fed up, and finally let him up after 3 years of saying no. He loves it. Im quite fond of it. I feel so comforted knowing he is having a good sleep and letting ME sleep. Getting him to the right spot has taken some time. He’s 70 pounds and was too much on my side where I could only sleep on my side, but it’s getting better. He also wants to be touching us with some part of his body!

both of my fat dogs do! UGH sometimes its so annoying they will sleep in their bed right when they get sent to the room… then in the middle of the night they will both jump in bed with us LOL

@Miss_Lily: I wish there was an ‘other’ button. My cat use to sleep with me the majority of the time. He’d like to see right near the crock of my neck, or on my back. RIP mr. kitty >.<
I know that if I get anymore pets, especially when I move they won’t =( but that’s okay, I’ll my hun.

we’ve trained our cat not to sleep with us – that took a lot of very firm kicking off ;-). He does, once in a blue moon, sneak on and stretch out really, really thin between us. It always makes us laugh when we “catch” him – he tries so hard to not get noticed! I also get up a couple hours before my husband, and the cat takes my spot and my pillow over to sleep next to him. Super cute!
