I would love it if my dog could sleep with me and snuggle, because in my house growing up my dog wasn’t even allowed upstairs where our bedrooms were. DH on the other hand refuses to ever let a pet sleep in the bed! Fortunately we have a corgi and a tall bed, so he can’t make it up there even if he tries, haha
So I guess I am curious, do you let your pets sleep with you?

Yup! I have a toy poodle, and I put him on the bed everynight when I go to sleep. He can’t jump up there on his own. He sleeps on a throw blanket by my feet most of the time.

we have two cats that sleep with us every night, and it’s super crowded in there!

My weimaraner starts out on the floor by our bed, but sneaks up right inbetween Fiance and I in the middle of the night. Her head is literally on my pillow with me! But she’s too cute so we let her stay there. 🙂

I voted “other”, but my rabbit will usually lay down with me as I’m falling asleep, and then a little while later will jump down and sleep under the bed.

Our two big ones (50 and 90lbs) don’t even try, they usually make the rounds all through the night, sleeping for bits of time in our room, the living room, the hallways, etc. Our guard dogs. :p
The little one is a 10lb chihuahua-weenie mix. He starts the night out sleeping on his special blanket (originally mine but he has since claimed it as his own) on one of the couches, but usually sometime in the wee hours of the morning he somehow manages to propel himself onto the bed and burrow under the covers without us waking up. I usually wake up with a chiweenie wedged up against my legs and burrowed under layers of blankets and sheets. He’s easy to move around though, so it doesn’t really bother us. It’s kind of comforting to have him all snuggled up next to you first thing in the morning!

Yes, they do now.
We used to have a very strict policy of the dogs sleep in their crate. When one of us was out of town we would allow the dogs to sleep in the bed as a special treat. That special treat soon turned into a nightly regime. We even moved up to a king size bed to accommodate two of them and two of us.

Our cat sleeps with us when he feels like it, but he spends most of the night in the hallway, on his chair, or under the bed.

I would let my cat sleep with me if she wouldn’t attack my feet each time I try to sleep

Our dog sleeps with us every night. Our kitten also sleeps in bed, he comes in and curls up before we fall asleep. Our other, older kitten used to sleep in bed sometimes but she will not now that the kitten is up there 🙁

My 15 yr 10lb dog sleeps with us. He sleeps curled up against me every night. The other two dogs are banished downstairs.
My DH says that the 15 yr old can do whatever he wants cause he is old. But once he passes, no more dogs in the bed. We’ll see about that…

@MrsNerdy: My DH and I help our corgi up to the bed! He sleeps with us, but my DH insists he sleeps at the foot of the bed.

I voted ‘other’ because we have a queen bed, two great danes, and a mutt… there is NO WAY all that is going into ONE bed. Usually the smaller dog (30lbs) will sleep under our bed. I have no idea why, but that’s where she likes to sleep, and that’s fine with us. The danes (120lbs, & 130lbs) sleep on a futon mattress in the floor of our spare room (so, yes, our dogs have their own room!)
However, if MrDane is out of town or if I’m laying down to take a nap I do let the danes snuggle with me in bed. We have rules though- I get in bed, get comfy, THEN I allow them to come up. That way I’m not laying on or under them. If they end up laying on top of my legs I say “UP!” one time, firmly, and they will get up, and try again. I do love snuggle times 🙂

DH started sleeping with his cat when he first got him. The cat was abandoned by it’s mother and he was bottle feeding so he just kept him in a basket in his bed. I came to our house with the sheddingest (i’m not sure that’s a word lol) black lab on the planet. She sleeps on the floor on a pillow right next to me….. and the cat sleeps on my feet. I have to turn my cell phone on to see where i’m going if I wake up to pee in the middle of the night but it’s so nice to drop my hand down and pet my girl in the middle of the night too.

@Treejewel19: haha I actually tried to sneak my pup into bed when DH was out of town once. It didn’t work out, since he’s never been up there and was just all excited and wanting to play. He also never snuggles with me but rather decides to get super hyper whenever I try… we joke that I am secretly slipping him crack or something because he goes so nuts
