KrisMarch:  I wouldn’t. I would want the bridesmaids to stand out, not blend in with the decor.

If you really want sage green bridesmaid dresses, I would use one of your other palette colors for the linens or use a neutral like white or cream.

Have you chosen your other colors?

I didn’t know this was a thing! Mine don’t match. Blush dresses with navy tablecloths. I wouldn’t match the dresses to the tables. Too matchy imo.

I vote too much as well! I had sage table cloths because all of the beige was sold out and they were awesome. One of my bridesmaid was going to wear a sage tone dress and when she saw the cloths opted not to as she felt she would blend in too much. If you really want green on the tables you could use a runner as an accent.

I’m struggling to think if we even had tablecloths….

I wouldn’t match your bridesmaids to the table decorations, I would just use a complementary colour. Do you really want your girls to feel like part of the furniture?

I’m guilty, I accidently matched the bridesmaids to the table linen. Ooops. I didn’t even think about it when deciding

Mine will but unintentionally. I only have two bridesmaids, and my color for both is s dark gray.

I think the runner is fine! But don’t go crazy trying to match the exact shade of sage.  THAT is a detail only you would notice and is not worth it.  Besides, matchy-matchy is kind of leaning towards being a thing of the past now.

KrisMarch:  mine did match but it’s because I loved eggplant so much. I almost picked ivory as my table cloth but it really wasn’t a big deal if they matched or not. Everyone will know who your Bridesmaid or Best Man are. They don’t have to match the decor color.

Our table cloths were white, but our table runners were burgundy like the bridesmaids dresses.  I thought it was a good mix – used my main color without being overwhelming. 🙂

theatrejulia:  Ditto! I didn’t even think about it, haha!

KrisMarch:   My bridesmaid dresses are charcoal gray and my tables will have gray overlays over white floor-length linens and burgundy napkins. There will also be a burgundy square under our centerpieces.

Oh well. I’m not worried about it.

I agree with PP, who stated not to match. As suggested above, maybe a different shade. Too much matchy and it may look like a prom more than a wedding.

I didn’t really think about it, but my bridesmaids will be wearing peach and then the table cloths are white but the napkins are peach

My bridesmaids dresses matched my table runners and chair sashes but it wasn’t overwhelming at all.
