I thought I had a DOC with junior assistant all lined up. But she wants to be with the junior member until the ceremony starts, and then head over to the reception. My problem with that is that it won’t allow enough time should there be problems with the flowers or if folks are running late; by the time she gets there, we’ll be about an hour plus away from the cocktail hour – unacceptable. Also, I wasn’t comfortable signing off on using images and things from my wedding, when I’ve done everything myself – I really feel that that’s false advertising.
The bad part is that she was only charing $450 (plus tax) for six hours of work. I’m looking to find a similar deal but with each person at the separate location (ceremony in Bklyn, reception in NYC). I tried the usual EAP, etc., and most everyone is booked up, since it’s a holiday weekend (Sunday, May 30th).
Can anyone throw out any recommendations? Doesn’t have to be “the” planner of the area, that costs, too. But someone who knows what she/he is doing, is personable but not timid, and can get the job done.
