I went to a wedding there a few years ago, they had the ceremony on the lawn over looking the water, cocktail hour by the gazebo, and reception in the restaurant. The cermony and cocktail hour were great, the setting is really pretty. The reception room is smallish and has all sorts of levels; its almost like 4 differnt rooms. It was hard to see certain things and made it feel seperated. It was still a great wedding and the food there is fantastic!

I don’t know the cost but I know the couple that got married there paid it for it alone and looked at several places and that was one of the more affordable ones.

I think entrees started in the 50-70s? something along that. I would not suggest this for a large wedding- the split floors would make it really tight/hard for everyone to see everything for any wedding over 60.

I had my parents’ 50th Anniversary party here 5 years ago and it was great.  It’s a very beautiful site.  We too had cocktails / hors d’s outside and then sit down dinner for ~50 inside in the dining room.  The dining we were in has nice windows, but was getting tight at ~50 guests.

I am a pack rat – so here’s a copy the of our pricing back then:

 Menu Price : Hot Hors d’ oeuvres…$14++ per guest

Dinner $34++ per guest (steak or scallops)

Children $10++each

Hosted Bar

House wine w/ meal $22++ per bottle ee Bar for arrangements

++ = 19% Service & 7% Maine State Sales tax

I’m looking at Dockside for our wedding next summer. The deposit is a flat rate and seems sort of high. Was that the case for anyone who has had events there?

$3500 should be about half of what I was quoted. I don’t want to get in over my head!

Thanks
