@GardenRose:  I think the mamaroo is pretty hit or miss. My daughters LOVES it, but there are 3 other September mamas whose babies hate/just tolerate it. So, if your baby loves it, you’d be all set! It’s great for small spaces, as well, since it has a small footprint. If baby doesn’t like it, then you may end up buying a traditional swing. We bought ours for $50 (or $75? I don’t remember) used. I’m not sure I’d have paid full price for it!

Agree with the previous poster. A friend of mine has the Mamaroo and her son liked it until he was 10 weeks old, then absolutely hated it. We have a traditional swing and our son loves it at 10 weeks. I guess it just depends on your baby.

We had a Mamaroo, and our daughter really never used it.  We had a plain old swing for my older daughter and she loved it.  But I really think it depends on the individual child.
