While I don’t think it would look weird or out of place, I do see what you mean by having stars without the space colors. When you said your colors (love them, btw), I didn’t think of stars, but if I walked into a wedding and saw gold stars, I wouldn’t find them strange. I think stars are one of those shapes that can be placed anywhere, though.

I would stick with your colors and do gold and ivory for the stars, you don’t need blue!

@EffieTrinket:

As long as you don’t do this

But for reals, the right color of gold (like bronze, ha) will look great with your colors

I think stars can come in any color you want!  Attention, nerd alert: Since stars exist in lots of colors, from red to blue, purple, yellow, white and lots in between, it’s totally appropriate.  ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stellar_classification for inspiration )

Also, if you’re looking for a more subtle star theme, you can always do starbursts instead of a traditional 5 pointed star.  Or mix in the different shapes & sizes to keep it from looking too theme-y.

@EffieTrinket:  OMG I love the colors you chose! I was going to suggest including gold, but then read that that was part of your color scheme… I don’t think anyone will miss the black/silver/blue, your decor will be gorgeous in the colors you’ve already chosen.

@MariContrary:  Haha awesome I didn’t know stars could be so many different colors!
