My parents have a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.  They live “up North” (Traverse City, MI) now, and she won’t even go out to pee without her winter coat on.  Dad hates clothes on dogs, but makes an exception for when they really need them.  πŸ™‚

I took one of Mr. 99’s old sweatshirts, cut the neck out and throw it on our greyhound when it gets too cold while we’re camping our out someplace…he’s got big piles of blankets on every floor to snuggle into in the house, and he refuses to be photographed wearing it…I think Cairo likes to appear tough.

@Nona99:  We’ve got a fleece jacket, a snow jacket and a rain jacket for our greyhound. It’s absolutely ridiculous. And effing adorable.

@Miss Grey:  I know it pisses him off and makes him really happy at the same time…he’s a complicated animal.

My puppy is so wiggly it’s almost impossible to get clothes on him.  I can barely get a bandana on.

However we do have a “jacket” for him that we make him wear when it’s particularly windy or cold.

my childhood dog was a miniature poodle and she loved her clothes.  She refused to go out in the rain unless she had her rain coat and booties on.  She also had sweaters and a suede coat for when it was cold.

@Nona99:  Yes! Ours hates the jackets in general, but won’t step foot outside if it’s raining without his rain jacket on. Lil priss.

I have an oddity of an animal.

My Snowball is a brat unless she’s wearing clothing. She tears things apart, and howls at the door if she’s “naked”, and then as soon as we put her in the clothing, she relaxes, and will cuddle, and play nice with our other animals, and is a completely different animal.

She’s also a cat.

People say that I’m being mean to her, but honestly, look at that face and tell me she’s angry and mad and hates me. She’s a completely different animal. She ends up wearing clothing most of the time (I have four outfits for her).

@Sweet.Sugar.Rose:  Haha no I think she meant she doesn’t want to get her face clawed off. I was going to make a similar comment πŸ™‚ I also have a cat.

@Sweet.Sugar.Rose:  My cats would shred me into teeny tiny bits if I attempted something so foolish as to try and put clothing on them!
