Lol I love coming home to see my cat. She waits by the door for me like a dog. Sometimes she’s even in the window watching to see my car pull up.

Absolutely.  She’s my pride and joy.  She gets excited no matter if I was gone for two seconds or for 14 hours (work 12 hour shifts)

@kate169: I was going to say the same thing!!! I love coming home to them, they are always so excited to see me! One of them always waits in the window for me, it’s so cute.

I love coming home to the big purrs and wanted to be snuggled and loved. My little one gets SO excited even when I wake up in the morning she literally hops up and down when I get out of bed, she just can’t stand that we haven’t snuggled and petted for 8 solid hours, LOL!

I have a cat but…SERIOUSLY I LOOOOOOVE SEEING HER THE MINUTE I GET HOME….I call her name and she jumps off the coach and run right to me and snuggles her face in my legs….aww my baby.

Aren’t furbabies the best things in the whole world???

It depends… If they didn’t dig, then we’re really happy to see them.

We have a dog door so that they aren’t couped up in the house for 10+ hours.  But lately, they’ve been taking up digging while we’re gone, so our backyard is completely destroyed.

I’m obsessed with my dog. It’s probably sick how happy I am when I see how happy she is to see me. Then I do that baby voice….

I don’t have a dog, but I definitely feel this way about my cats! They run to me when I come home and jump up on the arm of the couch to be the right height for pettin’!

@TurtleDoves: Absolutely!! Darling Husband always makes fun of how I can’t concentrate on anything else when there’s a cat around. I’ll stop in mid-sentence to pay attention to them, love them, praise them, pet them. It’s a compulsion I swear!!

This is one of the major reasons I totally miss having a dog. I do get a temporary excited dog fix when I go over to my parents’ house, though. Mom always tells their lab that I’m coming over, and the dog goes all loopy and won’t sit still until I walk in the door, at which point she goes over the top with the spinning and the wagging and the jumping and the whining until I put down my bag and pay attention to her.

Growing up we had a dalmatian, and she always had to bring us “presents” when we got home. If she couldn’t find one of her stuffies, she would grab a slipper or a pillow, but she couldn’t show up at the door without something in her mouth to give us, lol.

Also this is really weird but I used to have a betta fish and he totally would swim over to see me when I got home from work. Whenever I was home for a while he would just swim around leisurely, but the second I came back from being out, he was waiting in the corner of his tank nearest to the door, watching for me to come into the living room.
