Get it tested at a jewelry store. It might be cz, it might be white topaz, doesn’t really look like white sapphire to me. Is the top scratched? Then it’s probably cz. Needs a good cleaning. I’d lmao if it turned out to be a diamond. Stranger things have happened.

It could be lead crystal (ie Swarovski crystal, but there are different brands). That might explain the mirror effect and somewhat darkish hue.

CZ or white zircon maybe. Zircon is a softer stone and would usually be set in a bezel to keep it protected.

Let us know what you find out! I hope it’s a diamond.

Could be a colourless spinel, white sapph, mined zircon or rock crystal/ quartz or cz. I’m thinking if it was spinel or quartz then if she wore it frequently the facets would be a little more worn. It also may be a YAG which was popular in the 1950’s and 1960’s as a diamond simulant but I will keep my fingers crossed that it is a diamond but those little scratches/ wear lines..hmmmm. Good luck!

bbsu23 :  I think its spinel or a sapphire because of its glow. Both those gemstones glow instead of sparkle like a diamond. The scratch on the face in the first lot of pictures have me thinking its a spinel instead of a sapphire. Its a lot harder to scatch a sapphire so for that reason I’m going to say its a spinel over a sapphire.

Gorgeous ring either way! I hope you decide to wear it from now on! It deserves a whirl out of jewelry box every so often!
