I have always cried at the drop of a hat! It drives me mental. If I ever have a problem with someone/something at work, where it requires a mini confrontation I can’t help but cry. It’s embarrassing and makes me look foolish!
It’s the same with TV ads, movies etc- I become a waterworks factory!
Any tips on how to hold in my tears?

I do too, but it just started within the past couple of years. I see a super happy commercial on tv? Tears. I see someone win a reality TV show (think American Idol, the Voice, etc). Can’t stop the crying. I see an old man sitting by himself? OMG CAN’T STOP THE TEARS FROM FLOWING.

@missmorganista: OMG. The old man sitting by himself comment makes me remember the time I was a teenager and saw that! He was eating breakfast by himself in AC. I was so upset and devastated. I told my grandmom that I wanted to go sit with him to keep him company. She goes “how do you know his wife isn’t gambling his money away right now?” … well, I guess she had a point… hahaha

I cry VERY easily when I get super angry.
I hate it. People never understand… I’m not sad, and you haven’t hurt my feelings… I’m about to punch you in the face!
Also, thanks to a super regular hormonal shift, I cry at the drop of a hat, need to cry and just can’t stop, at least once a month.

@autumnmountainbride: Ah, I understand the frustration/angry cry. I’m the same way. Haha.

I am also one of those people that cry with different emotions. I’m sad, happy, or mad, I bawl like a baby. I have never figured out a way to shut it off, I guess that is just part of being me!

Oh gosh- I find it SO upsetting seeing elderly people eating alone. Maybe they are perfectly happy, but it really pulls on my heart strings!

I cry at really significant things–whether or not others see them that way. I was a mess at my white coat ceremony. I tear up every time someone tells me I’ll be a good doctor. I nearly cry every time I see our rescued puppies and cats, knowing all the thousands that are killed waiting for a home. I cry every time I pass a pasture with cattle, knowing what they’re headed for.
I’ve chalked it up to my father not “allowing” me to cry at my grandmother’s funeral when I was 12–telling me that our family was too genteel to allow others to see and suffer our emotions. I guess I’ve been making up for that ever since…

I cry all the time.
Sad shows, happy shows.
I work with kid sthat have had really rough lives and whenever I hear about their pasts, I almost start crying.
I cry when my stepson has a bad day at school too.
My eyes tear up for like anything

there are days when I’m ok and then there are others where I will just start to cry out of nowhere, almost for no good reason lol At my friend’s wedding earlier this month, I got a little teary during the ceremony, was proud of myself until… at the reception they started playing some Bon Jovi songs (Jersey girl getting married in VA, she just had to!) and all her Jersey people got up and started dancing and singing, while I was up there (and the photographer was trying to get a good group shot of us) I started tearing up, and ended up crying once I sat down… wth? lol

I’m like this and it has actually caused a lot of problems in my family. What helps me is to hold my breath and count to ten then I drink some water and try to remove myslef from the situation if possible. I still have a difficult time sometimes but this helps with the really stupid stuff that I cry about lol

Before I begin to cry, I stop, and began to tell myself I am ok. lol After I had surgery for my ovarian cyst, the hormones weren’t balanced and I cried so much my Fiance didn’t know what to do. lol I think most of us cry a lot because that is the only way we feel we can really release how we are feeling so we can feel better.

I cry constantly. Doesnt matter if I’m happy or sad. I’ll cry if I listen to pretty music, I’ll cry if I watch a video with cute kids in it, I’ll cry at commercials. XD

OMG! I’m exactly the same! I cry really easily too. Not sure what can be done about it though…
