I will cut my own bangs. They grow so fast and I have side swipe bangs so it is super easy to do it myself.

If I cut my own hair, I’ll look like it was done by a lawnmower! LOL So no I don’t cut my own hair, way too scissor happy….

But I guess I understand where you’re coming from. I actually had the opposite happen, the hairdresser was afraid to cut it too short a few years ago. I wanted it really short and she was afraid to do it… I kept saying, it’s still too long! I wanted it razor short in the back and a bit longish in the front and the sideburns cut straight across like a guy’s, not pointy and feminine like because they would “wing out”. Maybe I should have went to a barber…. LOL

When I was little, I tried to give myself bangs. Did not go very well….

I used to cut my own hair but now it’s down to my butt so it’s super hard to do! My cousin has been cutting my familys hair for years so now she does it. She cut off 7 inches last week I almost had a heart attack but I know my hair grows back super fast.

I do 🙂  For one, I’m way too cheap to pay someone else to do it when I can do it perfectly fine myself.  For two, I have really long hair (past my bum) and like you I’ve had bad experiences and am scared it will be cut too short if I go to a pro.  Third reason is that I go through and snip split ends individually about once a month or so (a little obsessive, but it keeps my hair looking healthy much longer) so it doesn’t need a major trim more than once or twice a year.

Silk drops are great for maintaining healthy looking hair too.  I use ion daily solutions silk drops.  How long is your hair?

@FutureMrs.browneyes I would probably have a panic attack if someone cut 7 inches off of my hair right now!  Then again, I’m getting married in January so not a lot of time to grow that much back out.  Glad you’re taking it in stride though.

I do!  But I have curly hair so it’s easier to hide the mistakes.  Up in a pony tail snip snip… up in pig tails  snip snip and I’m done!

My SO cuts mine – I’ll do it myself if I have to but he does a better job. I have curly hair though so no one would notice if he did something weird anyway. I haven’t gone to someone else since 2009.

what is this creaclip??

I do my own bangs, and am about to today although Fiance said I shouldn’t so close to the day. He is aware the hairdresser I usually use has pleasded with me to stop cutting them as I do them arseways. This clip thing sounds like something I should have Embarassed

I have my Mom or FH cut my hair.  I wear ponytails most days so I don’t bother paying for a fancy haircut that won’t be seen.

I am planning on getting a post-wedding chop, however, and that will be done at a salon.

Never!  I’m sure I’d mangle it!
