I absolutely hate it. I have to psych myself up before I can go and I especially hate going by myself. I love to cook and I love to eat but the actual process of going to a store, walking around, trying to avoid distractions and impluse buys and then having to unload it all just sucks.

@SouthernGirl: Don’t even get me started. I have corned beef going in the slow cooker right now…. I was at the store this morning and some how forgot the cabbage! I was so pissed that I had to go back! I just want to get in and get out.

I am with you…I think I’ve mostly avoided it for the last 3 weeks. I stop and get what I need as I get desperate enough…but I HATE it.
It helps if I have a recipe or something I want to try…but other than that, I would have groceries delivered if I could.

I work at a grocery store so when I go it reminds me of being at work. I really hate it.

@Cady: I feel better knowing that someone else feels as strongly as I do, haha.
@fresitachulita: I have avoided it for almost a month, except for milk and little things that I can just run to the little corner store for, but I have to go today. We’re out of everything except for some canned vegetables and the two end pieces of bread :/

I hate it with a passion but I am the only that really does it at home. My Darling Husband never buys what I need or buys stuff we dont need so I prefer to go but not by any means do I ever look forward to it,
I feel the same way about gas stations and banks.

One of the many reasons I am thankful that Darling Husband does the grocery shopping! 🙂

hate. loathe it. We only do big all out grocery trips a few times a YEAR because I just hate it. I would much prefer do smaller trips !

I do!!! I hate it with a fiery passion. Then I visited New York and found online grocery shopping! I’m never going back. I haven’t been inside a grocery store in months. It does wonders for my diet!

I don’t mind it at the type of stores where I get things like produce and bread. I HATE superstore, but I can’t justify buying packaged type stuff elsewhere based on the price differences.

I love grocery shopping. The Fiance and I usually go together though, which makes it fun!

Me!! I absolutely despise it! And I’m ALWAYS the one who goes. I think FH has only gone once with me.
The only good thing is I get off work at 730am, so I can go grocery shopping right after and not have to deal with the crowds.

@AlwaysSunny: I don’t mind going with FH because things usually go a lot smoother. He’s all about sticking to the list. If it’s not on the list it doesn’t go in the cart. But I will get to the store with a really short list and then realize that I forgot about 10 things because I’m bad about making a list minutes before I go.
@jayebaby: Online shopping? I’m so jealous.
@Blondee: I don’t get off work until sometimes between 6 and 10. I hate going around 6 even though it was the time FH and I mostly did our shopping because that’s when he got off work. Going at 10 is much better, but I hate going that late because even though there are no lines parts of the store get blocked off for cleaning and I can never get everything I want.

UGH! Totally with you. I don’t mind going sometimes when I get off of work at 1 am because there is no one else there and no free sample distractions. But usually I am too tired so I go on a day off. This usually entails dragging the children along. They are 5 and 7 and they want EVERYTHING they cannot have. Usually I end up angry and just want to get the hell out of there which means I forget something. Then you have to think about what to cook that you haven’t made already 10 times in the past 2 weeks. LOL!
