Does anyone else have a love/hate relationship with rose gold?

Rose gold is what I always thought of as just gold. My family is from the Soviet Union. Most gold jewelry in my family is at least a bit pink/coppery. It’s one of the reasons it goes by the name “Russian gold” sometimes. And also definitely not a fad – rose gold has been around since the 1800s.

I personally prefer the warmth of rose gold to yellow gold.

I love the way it looks but I can’t wear it. When I wear rose gold, the metal does not show at all against my skin especially from farther away than 6 feet. It looks like I just have a gem floating against my skin or like I’m not wearing jewelry at all if it’s just the metal.

It’s grown on me a lot. I wear a simple 10k rose gold band on my right hand and have white gold for my e-ring and wedding band on my left hand. I wear them all at the same time, doesn’t bother me!

I definitely prefer cool-toned jewelry. (Rubies excluded!) Rose gold reminds me too much of copper. I couldn’t do it.
