It seriously drives me NUTS whenever I see women wearing their wedding bands on the “wrong” side of their engagement ring. I don’t know why but this just makes me bananas! Does anyone else feel this way? I was under the impression that the wedding band is meant to be put on first, followed by the engagment ring, no?

@quierajen: lol wow you need to find other things to worry about! sorry!!

I have TONS of pics of my hand with a wedding band that goes ABOVE the e-ring because I was too lazy to take off my e-ring to put above the band when I was wedding band shopping. My pics are probably among the ones that really annoy you lol

Yes, it annoys me because yes, the engagement ring is supposed to hold the wedding ring close to your heart.
BUT, don’t judge too harshly, some couples get a wedding band as an engagement ring and make the wedding ring the more ornate one.

it may also depend on the culture.

Honestly, I have never given this much thought.
I think…when we first get engaged all we can think about is rings and we’re so focused on that. I remember checking out EVERYBODY’S ring when I got engaged. Now I don’t even look at anyone’s rings (in real life.)

Haha… It’s not a pet peeve, but I like it better the way you’re “supposed” to wear them. I accidentally wore mine the “wrong” way the other day cuz I was in a rush, and it just felt like it looked weird to me.

How do you feel about women who wear three rings? Band, e-ring, band? Or women with one thick band (three rows) that has all three combined?
Post # 10
It doesn’t particularly annoy or upset me lol, but I do think it looks weird, and would never wear them like that myself.

@quierajen: Doesn’t drive me bonkers, but when I see it I wonder why they do it lol.
Post # 12
hmmm, never thought to look!

It’s doesn’t drive me nuts, but whenever I see it part of me is like, “Why are you doing that?”. I’m just so used to seeing it wedding band and them engagement ring that I do double takes if I see rings the other way around.

@quierajen: it bugs me too!
Post # 15
I didn’t know three was a “wrong” way but now I kind of want to wear it that way just to bug people. Come on. It’s beautiful jewelry any way a gal wears it!

I get what you’re saying and I’m taking your post with the lightness it was intended. I think it’s strange!
