I like my in laws too. I go shopping or have lunch often with my Mother-In-Law. But just like in every real relationship there are up and downs. My Mil is really bossy and always have an opinion so we but heads when it comes to my Dear Daughter mostly. Or when she tries to help but makes things worse, but I always try to give her the benefit of the doubt. So when it gets bad it’s really bad but we always manage to get back together.

My Mother-In-Law is a genuinely sweet, kind and welcoming person. She always tells me how much she likes to have me visit and how she feels so comfortable interacting with me. Unfortunately my Father-In-Law has passed but I’m told all the time how much he would have liked me and how much I would have liked him. And from what I’ve heard it’s probably true. My SIL is a bit opinionated but she is always kind and welcoming when we visit her and her family. My family loves Darling Husband too. We both truly lucked out!!

I get on brilliantly with my future in-laws including grandparents and step-parents (both his parents are remarried). I’m closer with his mother just because we only see his dad a couple of times a year. They definitely feel like my family too 🙂

My future in laws (engaged currently) are amazing! I actually met my Fiance through his family. My daughter and his little sister are friends and I became friends with his mom through the girls. After my divorce I met him through her. And the rest is history ☺️ Haha!

I love my future in-law’s! They live in a different state, so I haven’t gotten to know them extremely well over the last two and a half years, but they’ve always made me feel welcome when visiting their home and are sweet as can be. My future Brother-In-Law is hilarious and the interactions between him and my Fiance make me laugh.
My only wish is that my Future Mother-In-Law would not worry about pleasing me so much! I like her and appreciate her, and she’s just trying so hard to please me when she doesn’t need to. I guess that’s a good problem to have? Haha.
We spent a few days with my Future Father-In-Law and Future Mother-In-Law over Christmas and it was great to see them! I’m really looking forward to joining their family.

I love his whole family but most especially his parents. They can drive me nuts every so often but I love them a lot.

My IL’s are great people! I’ve spent a lot of time with them over the years and gone up North with them to four-wheel and bar hop, it’s a good time! My SIL took longer to bind with, especially since we had a tiff over how much time my SO spent with her/his family vs alone with me when we were long distance. But we have moved on from that and now she will be one of my bridesmaids!
The only thing his parents and I disagree on is religion, which most of the time we don’t discuss or make an issue. I’m still trying to figure out if there will be a resolution to this as it will only be getting worse once kids are involved, but that’ll be a different thread.
Reading some of the IL stories on here only makes me extra grateful for the wonderful people I have in my life.

LOVE LOVE LOVE my Future Mother-In-Law & Future Sister-In-Law. His mom is already spoiling me rotten. He’s from a small family, mom, just one sister and his dad is deceased. Im from a family of 7 siblings. I told my Future Sister-In-Law you know you’re not just gaining one sister but 5. Her eyes got real big. LOL!!
