Future husband has 2 nieces. One will be 5 and the other 3 by the time of the ceremony. So that wasn’t an option to not have flowergirls.

We won’t be having a ring bearer as we don’t know any. I’m not disappointed. If it were my way, there would be no kids at all.

@jmaze:  Our officiants said the same thing–kids are usually just trouble.

We’re not having either. We don’t really have anyone who could be Flower Girl, but FI’s nephew will be almost 3 at the wedding. Despite the pushing of Future Sister-In-Law and Future Brother-In-Law, I said absolutely not.

We might not have any. We’re having a Destination Wedding in Aruba, so it depends on what kids will be attending the wedding, if any.

It’s hard to say with 7+ years until I get married, but there is a good chance we won’t have any children of the proper age. My six-year old niece would be the perfect age, but when the time comes, she’ll be old enough to be a junior bridesmaid. Barring my niece, I’m the youngest in my family, and DBF’s younger brother will be 22 or 23 when we marry, if not older. Unless my brother and his Girlfriend marry and start a family almost immediately, we won’t have them. My only hope that it’d happen on “my” time is that my brother’s Girlfriend is 32 or 33. XD

We are having a Flower Girl, but no RB as of yet. We’re also having a child-free wedding though. The Flower Girl is FI’s little cousin who will be 6 for our wedding, and she is literally an angel…also, her mom offered to take her home after the ceremony since she knows we aren’t having children at the reception. FI’s other cousin has the cutest little boy who we may want as a ring bearer, but we’re not sure..we want to make sure he can go home after the ceremony. Also, our ceremony & reception are at the same place so it’s more trouble for the parents of the little ones to take them home, but was so nice they offered.

I see no need for them unless you have a family member who is DYING to get their kid in a cute outfit.

I want to go kid free at my wedding and I don’t want a RB or Flower Girl.

No ring bearer (I wanted no kids AT ALL at the wedding, but I HAVE to have my niece in it..). No flowers, she’ll be holding this:

We aren’t having either!  Kids are cute – but they are a bit unpredictible and can be an issue at a wedding. We don’t really have any kids old enough that are close to us anyway.

We’re not. Not having bridesmaids or a best man or groomsmen either.
