Does Anyone Else Want Unenhanced Moissanite?

I did it and I love it.  I even had my ring set with a yellow gold bezel (the rest of the ring is palladium) so that it would pick up more warm color.  When it’s overcast, it’s this delicious buttery yellow.  Some people don’t like that and that’s ok–I love it.  If that’d what you like then do it.

I’d love to see some unenhanced moissanite. It’s a fascinating stone in and of itself.

Mine are unenhanced.  I honestly can’t really tell the difference in the two.  Of course, I don’t examine people’s rings.

I love it. I have seen them in person as I’m lucky to have a local jewler who carries Moissanite- I loved the look of it- that there was a faint color, but it was still suuuper shiny. Now I heard that you could get Moissanite at JCPenney, and I looked at theirs, and it was just TOO yellow for my liking.

I have an unenhanced moissanite and love it. I chose moissanite for it being a moissanite and its qualities so unenhanced was the best choice for me. I don’t really have the color problems with mine but it is a softer white.

@ChickN: It’s a really great gemstone Smile Glad I could help! Hope to see an update soon!

ETA: Sometimes, but very rarely, I do see a slight grey color to it but I’m not sure if it’s the gemstone itself or because of the palladium setting.

I have an unenhanced moissanite. I honestly don’t notice, but my ring is yellow gold so that might be part of me not noticing too.. I’ll see if I can try and dig up a photo. Unfortunately its like the one thing missing from my wedding photos.

I wanted the unenhanced.  I tend to like warmer tones anyway, and it looks great next to the yellow gold.  I think enhanced next to the yellow would have been blindingly white.  I am like you, where I don’t necessarily share that it is not a diamond, but I answer truthfully if asked 🙂  Heres mine, with my enhancer that will be my wedding band in a few months:

Mine is unenhanced! I also love the colors it throws off, some of which might have been lost had we gone with an enhanced stone. 🙂

@CarolinaCola: Thanks! Smile I have actually been wondering if the enhancement effects the color sparkle. It would be a shame if it did; it’s one of the greatest things about moissanite.
