It’s happened to me a couple of times. I just keep adding to the thread until people are forced to respond out of a feeling of pity, desperation, annoyance, fear, etc. I am a weddingbee terrorist, basically.

Yes, but that was before I started responding to other people’s threads and interacting more.  Or sometimes I just put up a boring thread…I guess I was the only one interested!!  🙂

@Ahone: Yes this has definitely happened to me.  And then I feel like a bit of a loser.  Even though that is a completely irrational thought heh.

Yep.  Sometimes I’ll “bump” it to get some pity comments, but usually I just let it go.  Ah well.

@Beluga:  hahaha this made me LOL.

I hate when I get no responses!  The odds are in our favor so it always makes me feel a little bummed when no one responds.  It’s also why I try to respond to a lot of threads, even if they’re considered “low interest” for me.

Happens to me lots too!

Some posters are more popular and people respond to their posts more. But I think it also depends on the day, who’s on, what topics are being discussed… etc.

I try not to feel too bad about it!

hahaha….I feel the same way about my threads.  I’m either boring or a thread killer!

Hah this is kind of reminding me of the “thread killer” thread.  I wonder who killed that one?

@Beluga: hahahaha! Maybe I need to take a lesson from you. I usually just let them die out of fear of people being like “OMG, LET IT DIE, LOSER”. haha… although I know the bees are too nice to say something like that, they’d probably just roll their eyes. But, imagination… you know?! It gets the best of me.

It’s happened to me a few times. Normally when I ask specific questions, though. And then I feel dumb bumping it…

@Beluga:  Ha ha I like your tactics!  Now that I am more active in the Hive it doesn’t happen as much.
