@evlpc:  I know two different brides who have planned their ceremony & reception at Tamaron Country Club. The reception area is decently sized – definitely would accomodate 75. Their price also includes chairs, tables, and linens. I think they may also have a few basics (like glass vases) available for your centerpieces. Definitely check them out.

Also, I was a Toledo bride :). Ty Photography (photographer is Ty Bowling) did our e-pics and wedding. He’s easy to work with and our images came out beautifully. Highly recommended.

Hey everyone! Smile

I just wanted to say HI and hope to maybe get to know some gals. We are about to move in the Toledo area. My Fiance is from there and his family lives all over the place in the area around Toledo. We are still in Germany, since the Fiance was stationed here and just got out of the Army, we decided to stay and visit some places in Germany and Europe. And I have a little part of my family living over here in Europe too. I dont know anybody up there, beside his family, so it’s going to be all new for me! πŸ™‚

Hope everyone had great holidays and a lovely time with the family and the better half.

His dad lives in Northwood and Brother and his wife in Point Place. Yeah I know where you come from, I’m a shy person too and it’s going to be weird to start a life up there, even if it’s going to be awesome! πŸ™‚

I’m all in the planning process, we know what we want and the theme and we just have to make it real! πŸ™‚ I hope I still have the photographer I booked…I’m working on that right now! *cross fingers*

And I wish you and your family a Happy New Year.

Where did you get married? How is the area up there to live and everything?

@jatelynn:  Sorry I forgot to tag you in the first reply and I didn’t mean where you got married, sorry where so you plan on getting married?

@jatelynn:

I hope I can call it my home soon too πŸ™‚ We are looking for a house too, right now just online, but his dad and his brother are on the look out too πŸ™‚ I def realized that the house prices up there are so much cheaper than down south.

We are planning a mix of a country + rock theme. Oh I like your outdoor backyard reception idea. We’ve been looking into the metro parks and plan on having the reception or the party there.

Cause we still don’t know if we’ll be eloping, just having the cermony for us 2 and a big wedding party for friends and family later in summer or having the whole shebang.

I still want a dress and everything tho πŸ™‚ and even if we decide to just have the big party we thought about having a little symbolic ceremony.

The Metroparks are all booked for the timeframe we would like, so we have to start looking around again! πŸ™ We narrowed it down to a date…finally! πŸ™‚ But we still think about just having the big wedding party, with a symbolic ceremony, something to remember for the guests. Cause the wedding itself is going to be spontaneous, we don’t know when and where yet! lol

Haha, I know how you feel, from 50 to 150 is a good jump, but it’s going to be perfect for y’all and everyone can be there and can share the special moment!

Do you have a photographer yet? I find it a pain to find one up there! I talked to someone and for them it’s a pain since we are still overseas! πŸ™

@jatelynn:  Aww that would be so sweet, cause our original photographer bailed out on us, cause the mail took “too long” from overseas and another couple wanted the same date! I even offered to scan the contract and everything but they didn’t want that! So we are without one!! πŸ™

So I’m kinda lost right now! We found one open lodge ina metro park after all and they accidentally double booked it, but oh well! πŸ™ I keep looking, it’s really not easy being on a budget sometime!

How far did you get with your planning? It’s getting closer for you!! πŸ™‚
