I love them, but i’m not courageous enough to wear one.  White by Vera Wang has a couple of grogeous blue/grey dresses and I debated it but I’m going with traditional ivory.

@BlueDiamondBride:  I looooove the blue ribbon in the corset back! I had an idea to do that in purple, and now that I’ve actually seen an example of it (albeit in a different color) I’m even more in love with it! It’s an amazing pop of color down the back of the dress! 🙂

Im not sure why it took me so long to post on here… I guess I wish I had a better picture. But soon I can actually show the dress at the wedding!!!

But here it is: dark blue taffetta one shoulder with a high-low (although barely – and its hard to see in this picture) skirt

I’m super pumped to wear it!!!!

Initially I voted no, but the blue dress in the original post completely changed my mind. I LOVE it.

My dress isn’t totally blue, but the lower 1/3 of it will be! It’s going to be this style but with more blues, less greens, and the color will extend up two or three additional rows on the bottom. It will also be more beige and less white. I’ve got my something blue out of the way! Its going to be a struggle to find shoes, though… might have to go with nude.

I’m wearing AA Cinderella Diamond for one of my dresses. This is on my final fitting – hasn’t been steamed yet. It’s a lot more blue in real life (basically blue silk lining, white tulle) and it’s just super dreamy!

@Selcier:  AHHHHH!!!!! I’m so excited!!!!! someone else is doing dark blue!!!!!! I was starting to question my decision (getting a lot of side glances and questions regarding it). Mine is about the same color as yours, just strapless and has a corset back. What are you doing as far as accessories? I’m trying to get a jacket to go over it (since it’ll be a Jan wedding for me) and the sash is black, so a white jacket looks kinda funky. But a black one seems kinda…morbid? to wear to my wedding.

@mandyhartwell:  These bad boys are basically my Alternate Universe wedding dresses I think. Like, if I went ball gown, I’d be in one of those.

If money were no object I totally would have sprung for this lovely dress by Carolina Herrera (the bonus is that it is named after one of my favorite artists, Elizabeth Vigee-LeBrun).
